Hi bees, as per the title, what’s the best birthday gift you’ve EVER received. As in, not a cool gift, like the BEST EVER?
This year my FI suprised my with a massage & facial when I thought we were going shopping. I thought that was pretty awesome.
My BM just posted photos of her new Ferrari on facebook. She received this as her birthday gift. Yes. A. Ferrari. A real one. And it’s red.

@lsimpson: I know what I’d do with a Ferrari: pay off my student loans! 🙂

This is a tough one for me. I can’t decide. I received a car one year from FI Although I think he was more excited about it than I was:). I would say the best gift though was a trip to Hawaii Complete with a gorgeous necklace!

@pfinarffle: ahaha of course I knew what to do with a ferrarri. But just imagine… “hey honey, here’s your gift, is nothing special, we just spent 100.000.000 euros in it”
😛 I just think is too much of a gift, I down know I would react or say

honestly…my FI got me one of those instylers off the shopping channel. I wasn’t very impressed that he got me that at the time….but after I used it I loved it. He got me the instyler but gave me the gift of time. That thing has honestly saved me 3.5hrs on hairstyling per week.
i get nice compliments too from strangers saying how shiny my hair is…..its the gift that keeps on giving!!!
Best gift I ever got as child was from my godmother when I was 11. she got me a crop top and some tubs of fruit flavoured lip balm…..man I felt all grown up in that crop top wearing lipgloss!!! hehehe

@Nic01: Holy cow.. who gave your BM this uber generous gift??? I know if it was my man, he’d keep the Ferrari for himself. Well I guess.. this would in turn end up being my Ferrari anyway.. 😉
My best bday gift was probably an LV bag

My SO surprised me with a trip across the country to see my family for my birthday two years ago. He tricked me into thinking we were just going a couple hours away- I didn’t know until we got to the airport where we were actually going. I was thrilled. I hadn’t been home in almost a year before that.
Additionally, he told some of my family, but we surprised my mom, which was epic. He also surprised me the night we got in by gathering some of my old friends with my family for dinner in the city. He had never met any of these people so he really went out of his way to find them and get them to come out. It was all amazing!

A week in Spain (over my birthday) with my boyfriend/now fiancé. On my actual birthday we took a cruise on a catamaran on the Mediterranean, stopping to swim, and drinking bottomless bottles of cava the whole time. I’m not sure he’ll ever top it. I’d love to have him try, though.

A Ferrari….seriously!? Damn.
My best birthday gift…hmm…my husband got me a personalized iPad this year which is pretty effing awesome. But it doesn’t beat the bithday date he took me on for my 21st birthday. We went to the Hyatt which is this restaurant that spins and is super high so you can look over Kansas City, it was amazing food and super romantic. And then we drove around the ghetto and looked at hookers. Fun times. Love my husband.

@Nic01: I got a couple!
Last year I got my then only SO (now FI) back from deployment a couple days before my actual birthday
He got me an iPad2 as a combination gift for my birthday, Valentines Day, and Christmas since he was gone for the two holidays
But the best part is that we flew out to South Dakota and met his parents, and my birthday was while we were there, so he spoiled me with dinner out to a Japanese steakhouse, a chick flick, and then bought a bottle of wine for us to share in the hot tub under the stars 🙂 The wine was horrible for both of us, but it made for fantastic memories, and the first time I got to spend it with someone I love.

For me, the best presents are sentimental. Three favorites:
A couple of years ago, my mom and stepdad came to visit me when I was living in Japan (which was a pretty big deal because it was way out of their comfort zone and my mom is TERRIFIED of flying, let alone over an ocean). So for my birthday this year, they had a coffee table book made of their photos from the trip 😀
Another year, one of my best friends made me a book of the story of our friendship.
And on my 21st birthday, my dad gave me a bottle of wine from his favorite winery that he’d been saving for me until I turned 21.
