Need to visit hopefully 3 salons in a few weeks. Considering Weddings by Debbie, Winnie Coutre and Bridal Gallery. Dress budget is hopefully not above 2500. -3000.
Any suggestions? The bride is from out of town and needs to see mostly San Patrick, la Sposa, Pronovias, Maggie and a few more. I’m sure most salons cannot carry every gown from every designer they represent, so what if you fall in love with a gown you can’t find in a salon?

Weddings by Debbie does not have good reviews as far as customer service is concerned, but they do have San Patricks and Maggies and are well within her budget. Not sure of the other two, but Brickhouse Bridal and Mia Bridal Couture have good reviews…

Thinking of Weddings By Debbie, Winnie Couture, Misora and Maison Mode.
Wondering if I should book Weddings by Debbie on a Friday afternoon instead of
a Sat. morning so it wouldn’t be so rushed and crowded. Dunno. Also, is it a bad
idea to find what you want here in Houston and then find a salon in her city that can
order it for her?

They seemed nice @ Weddings by Debbie. However, when my sister ordered her hem to hollow dress, they did not get the length right and she had to have her all lace dress altered. Seemed to have defeated the whole purpose. Granted, I don’t think they charged her for the hem length alteration, but they should have refunded the extra couple hundred she paid to have it hem to hollow.
I recommend visiting them during the week. I went on a Friday morning and it was kinda crowded. She went on a Monday afternoon. The new place is very spacious though.

Has anyone visited Parvani Vida Bridal Salon in far west Houston ??
They seem to carry some interesting designers, so I’m thinking of
canceling an appt. at Maison de Mode and going to Parvani instead.

@M and M: I bought my dress from Parvani Vida and they had wonderful service. It hasn’t come in yet, but I’ve called several times to ask questions and they’ve always been really helpful

I would not go to Brickhouse Bridal if I were you. They ordered my dresses a month late then were horrible about the whole process. But I did go to Princess Bridal in Old Town Spring for my wedding dress and they are wonderful.

A friend of mine in Houston got her dress at Priscilla of Boston there and it was gorgeous! Obviously they don’t carry other lines, but it may be worth a look if she likes their styles.

PRINCESS BRIDAL IN OLD TOWN SPRING!! They’re the best!!
I’ve heard bad things about Weddings by Debbie, but Brickhouse Bridal was nice when I went there (although they were HORRIBLE about calling and pestering me after I didn’t purchase there — they’re quite pushy). They also asked my price point immediately, and then only brought dresses that were right at the top or slightly over my budget – I had to ask to see some lower-priced dresses. But, that might have just been my consultant.

@bluebonnet: I got my dress here and LOVE it, but I did NOT get good service. 🙁
