I have one of those jars of jewelry cleaner I use once in a while when it starts looking dirty.  Other than that, I have the jeweler clean it every 6 months.

I just have the local mall jeweler clean it when I visit. I happen to be in there every few eeks somehow – I promise I am not purchasing at all of these occasions!

But they always offer so I just let them 🙂

Also, my mom always told us to use toothpaste to clean jewelry. Worked well from what I remember…

I let mine sit in Dawn dish soap and warm (NOT hot) water for about 3 minutes. Then I take them out, scrub them with an EXTRA SOFT toothbrush, rinse them, and dry them with a towel. I do this about once a week. Good luck and congrats!

DH gave me a Brookstone Ultrasonic Jewelry and DVD Cleaner for christmas, I really like it and I think it does a great job. And you don’t use any cleaner.

I get mine cleaned about once a month at the store it came from but they recommend using warm water and an electric toothbrush at home

The jeweller FI bought the ring from also gave him one of those jars of cleaner.  I use that once a month or so.  It comes out sparkling!

@adellempress:  Doesn’t gunk up your teeth 🙂 Just rinse it well!
