I have a Conair. I am not sure where I got it. But I relate you you with the hair being flat. i spend hours curling my hair and it goes flat! But then I started this technic, spray a little hairspray on your hair before you curl. It works! My hair was curly the whole day!! Also just find a curling iorn with a high temp. Hope this helps. 🙂

I have a Hot Tools Professional iron. I bought it from a Beauty Supply Store but you can buy it from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Tools-Professional-Curling-Multi-Heat/dp/B00176B8BG/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1271269970&sr=8-11

It gets really hot and i’ve never had a problem with it BUT i do have curly hair that molds easily. Use Redken Spray Starch and you’re golden! It smells funky (like starch) but works amazingly.

I love my Hot Tools curling iron, its awesome.  I have a 1in iron thats “Pink Titanium” it heats up super fast and can heat up to 450 degrees.  I had the gold plated one before and it worked really well too. Heres a link:

I think you can buy Hot Tools at Sally Beauty Supply as well. They have a great range of products that reach high tempatures.
