    Hello Bees!

The new hubby and I are planning a week long honeymoon to Disney World and Universal Studios sometime in March or April. I have never been and I am super excited!

Any suggestions for where to find the best packages (including tickets, flight, accomodations)? We probably won't take advantage of the meal plans offered, and we wouldn't need anything too fancy as far as the hotel goes (but we would like a nicely rated hotel).

    Thanks!

I just booked out our honeymoon to WDW for late May and I found that the cheapest flights with decent flights times was through Southwest. Expedia and Orbitz had great flight rates but the flight times were less than ideal with long(ish) layovers. Also, I found that the cheapest hotels were through Expedia and they often throw in special bonuses like your sixth night free and meal credits, even for Disney resort hotels.

Note, if you do book your hotel through anyone but Disney you are not eligible for the Disney Dining. We found that for us it wasn't worth it so it was fine, not sure about your situation.

Also, the cost of ticket packages is the same via Disney or online so you might as well go with Disney and make sure to discuss AAA discounts if you have it.

If you are going in the fall they will most likely be offering free dining, which I know you said wasn't encessary, but hey - free is free! DH and I had our honeymoon there and paid a bit extra to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan, which I thought was an awesome choice because we got to eat at very nice and fancy sit down restaurants and each got an appetizer, entree, and dessert. That's assuming you want to stay at Disney - we always do, because it has many benefits such as extra hours, free transportation (although sometimes we rent a car anyways for convenience), and it's really awesome just being surrounbded by Disney magic your whole trip, the level of service is amazing.

I'd check out mousesavers.com, they let you know about all the special promotions Disney is running as well as other hotels in the area, and they have a newsletter that gives codes for even better deals, so sign up for that.
