Yoga Booty Ballet is great. There's a few different DVDs, and most of them include dancing along with strength training and basic yoga moves. Crunch also has a few great dance DVDs, I have cardio salsa, which is a great low impact routine.
I like Ellen Barrett's videos and The Firm videos (not the real old ones though). I am currently doing P90X but I do not think I will do that exclusively after the wedding.
I am just like you! I always need to change it up. Question - Do you belong to a gym as well? I teach Body Pump and if you can get to one or two of those classes once a week, it's well worth it.
Also, P90X is an excellent workout but again, I got bored after doing it for so long. I knew what Tony was going to be saying next. Now I'm trying Insanity. Same company who does P90X, called Beach Body. Insanity is high intensity interval training and it kicks my butt.
If you have cable TV check OnDemand. Go to Free OnDemand, look under Sports, and then Fitness. It will unleash all of these free workouts from TOP fitness pros. Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser Trainer) has her workouts on there and they are fabulous. But there is also really fun stuff like Carmen Electra's Striptease. I thought it was a joke at first but I have to tell you, my hips were actually sore the next day. Plus it's fun, it changes it up and makes you feel sexy. You might even remember a routine and 'perform' it for your fiance!
Fitness should be fun! Even if you need to do something different each time----DO IT!
I always liked Tae Bo videos. It's fun to yell at Billy Blanks onscreen. lol
I remember in one of the videos, something goes wrong with his mic (I think sweat messed it up or something), so he had to run off, but his lady assistant took over. My bff and I would yell, "No! Billy, come back! Jerk, we have to stay here and work out!"
I wish I could find that one again. It was on vhs. :p
this probably isn't the best consistency wise but about every other week I get a idfferent video from the library--from the 30 day shred to yoga and pilates. I like to keep things stirred up so I don't get bored!
@fiftyfootbride - that sounds hilarious! I definitely enjoy work out videos for not only a work out but entertainment too!
I have tried a few of the Comcast OnDemand exercise TV videos and there are some good ones, plus they change them every month so you get more variety. Some of Jillian Michael's more popular vides are on there and when I'm out of town for work I use Netflix "Watch Instantly" to get workout videos.
One I know I didn't like was the Windsor Pilates. I did that religiously (and correctly!) every day for a good 3 months, and I saw pfft results. Nothing like the silly infomercial promised.
I also know a lot of people that like the beach body ones.

My mom's friends all love it, and she just started it yesterday! We'll see how it works for her. :)
30 day shred!! but you'll want to punch Jillian in the face.
Turbo Jam, despite the cheesy name, is lots of fun and will definitely get you sweating. I got the DVDs on eBay for a great price.
The only video I have any experience with is the 30 Day Shred. I think any video you are doing over and over is going to get boring. Maybe you can get one or two more of the ones suggested and rotate them?
OMG... that's awsome that ONDEMAND has workouts! I really can't afford a gym membership right now, but my FI and I want to tone up a bit before the wedding. So gonna start using this feature! Thanks bees
To beat boredom, I rotate my routine regularly. Right now I am on:
Monday - Bowflex
Tuesday - Gin Miller - Step, the video (an oldie but goodie!)
Wednesday - Bowflex
Thursday - Weight-loss Pilates
Friday = Core Fusion - Body Sculpt
Saturday - Gin Miller - Simply Step
Sunday - 10 Minute Solution Pilates
I have over 2 dozen exercise videos and when I get tried of this routine, I will change things up!

I am sure I am not the only one with this problem - I get bored with exercising very easily. I currently do Hip Hop Abs 4 days a week and while it's effective I am quickly getting bored with the same routine. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fun workout video that is still very effective? I would love one that might incorporate dancing. There are so many videos out there so I want to make sure I get a good one! Thanks!
