I used Olay too. My college roommate swears by it. Her grandmother used it since teenage-hood and attributes it to her wonderful skin.

I have dry, sensitive skin 🙁 but! I did get a Clarisonic Mia for xmas!! Works amazing for me! I use my own facewash rather than whatever came in the box. I just use nutrogena(sp) sensitive skin line. Face wash and moisturizer 🙂 i also use a face mask once a week. No black heads and my skins so nice and soft!!

I have very dry, sensitive skin. I use Origins Checks and Balances face wash and A Perfect World moisturizer. My skin has been great since I started using these

I cheap out and use st.ives. I find that it doesnt matter what i really use to wash (as long as its hypoallergenic) but rather what i do after to control my skin type. I have really bad dry excema skin so I always use avenno eczema care lotion right after I wash in the morning. In the evening I use pure virgin olive oil after I exfoliat. As a bonus, it really gets all of my makeup off that a cleanser won’t 🙂

@masterteee2013:  I have dry skin too, and it;s super bad in the winter, so I splurge and get Clinique gentle facial cleanser for sensitive skin, it cleans without drying my skin right out. Otherwise I use Noxema in the summer when things are a little greasier, lol!

@masterteee2013:  dove bar soap is definitely too harsh for skin on your face. I use it for my body, and even then it sometimes seems a little too harsh.

I used to live in the desert, and wintertime meant skin so dry it would hurt! I started using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and instead of rinsing it off with water, I wiped it off with a soft cloth. it helped a lot. even when I had bad acne, this method of cleansing worked really well for me.

Also, my sister has been battling dry skin, and she has been in love with this product: https://www.burtsbees.com/natural-products/face-care-facial-cleansers/soap-bark-chamomile-deep-cleansing-cream.html

@masterteee2013:  First step: get a face wash designed for dry skin. I used Dove bar soap (the fragrance/dye free one for sensitive skin) as a face wash and it dried out my  sensitive skin. I now use Nutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub every night and it’s been wonderful.

Also, if my skin is feeling extra dry at night (during especially cold weather or after swimming), I’ll slather on some La Mer moisturizing creme. Otherwise, I stick with a lighweight, oil-free face lotion applied morning and night.

I have dehydrated skin that can be sensitive, and I love Bioderma’s H20 Micellaire cleansing water (in some countries it’s called Sensibio, the pink and white bottle). It’s used by just about every makeup artist in the world to remove makeup, it’s so soothing and gentle and actually very effective at removing makeup.

As for cleansers that use water, I like using cleansing oils (the ones that you rub on your face, and then add a bit of water to turn milky). Fancl is my fave but difficult to get outside of Asia, Shu Uemura makes a wonderful one for dry skin too. It leaves my skin feeling much more supple compared to foaming cleansers.
