I’ve collapsed at work 3 times in the last nine months, and I’ve had to get a series of blood tests to figure out exactly what’s going on. Not only did FH and FBiL (the one who lives with us) both come to the pathology clinic with me, but FBiL held my hand as a I squealed – I don’t do needles. I hate needles – and FH brought me back home. He set me up on the couch with a DVD, and asked if there was anything else I needed. When he noticed I was swaying he put me to bed, tucked me in, got me a bucket, kissed me and left me to sleep for 3 hours. I woke up and he put me back on the couch and put the TV on for me, cooked me dinner and he’s doing the dishes!! I’m so lucky!
Anyone else getting treated like royalty? 🙂

I got in an accident a few years ago, and I was in a lot of pain. Fiance (then SO) drove 2 hours to come see me, stayed the night (when he had something to do the next morning) and just chilled while I slept/cried/and complained. In the middle of the night, the pain got so bad I started feeling as though as I was going to vomit and then pass out, so I woke up and he came in (he slept on the couch) and rubbed my back until I felt better and fell back asleep. Makes you feel so loved.

He sounds amazing! That is so sweet. My SO does things like this as well. We went to the gym and I pulled a muscle so I winced and walked and sat down tenderly all evening. Through the night, it got really bad. At 3 am, he got up, went to get some icy hot and gave me a full body massage. He’s amazing!

@MrsSWB: It really does. I mean, he was making fun of me earlier cos he knows how much I hate needles, but when it came time for the needle he was nothing but supportive and caring. He’s even stayed in the lounge room – as opposed to being in his study as usual – to ensure I’m okay. Feeling heaps better right now!
@onceinalifetime122113: Wow, I’m sorry you went through that! By the sounds of it, he looked after you really well. Makes you feel so lucky, doesn’t it?
@lina010: Geez, what I wouldn’t do for a full body massage!! Sounds incredible!
