I can relate to your relationship with your FMIL because me and my FMIL are the same way! Although my mom and I get a long, she can’t do the things with me a mom should/gets to do when it comes to the whole wedding process. So I am so lucky and blessed to have her in my life.

That is so awesome you have that support!!

1) Those earings are going to look amazing on you, and I LOVE the idea of matching them to your engagement ring!! So beautiful!

2) FMIL sounds like an awesome woman! That’s super sweet of her, what a special day you got to share with her. Good on you for inviting her to join you, I’m sure both of you got a lot out of that day! My FI’s mom has never had a daughter nor granddaughter, so she’s been super sweet to me too (but she’s in a different country so I haven’t seen her much… that’ll change when we move!). Yay for getting second moms!! Cherish her 🙂

LonnyLee:  You have a superb FMIL & I love that!! Please treat her like a queen every once in a while. I so wish I had a FMIL or Future Parents in Law but they both died before I could even know their son.

Those are gorgeous earrings! I would definitely wear them after the wedding too. That’s so sweet of your FMIL. Sounds like you have a keeper:)

LonnyLee:  That’s such a sweet moment to have shared with your FMIL – write it down somewhere amongst all your wedding memories (like in a photo album or something) so that you don’t forget and can share the memory with children, should you have any. It’s awful how quickly the details of these things can fade when we are busy!

My MIL has been so lovely to me too, and I think a part of that is because she had such grief from her own MIL. I hope I will take my positive experience and pass it on to my own children’s partners one day. I love when women truly support other women, and it makes me so sad to read about all the bees having issues or getting competitive behaviour from their FMILs.

The earrings are gorgeous – hope you feel like a million dollars when you wear them 🙂

LonnyLee:  Your FMIL sounds like such a sweet and loving person! What a wonderful memory for you to have formed together and now you have a lovely piece of jewelry to remember it by!

My MIL is a wonderful and beautiful person as well. I didn’t ask her to go dress shopping with me (I only went with my momma and we had a blast together), but she was one of the very first people I showed a picture of my dress to.

Those earrings are beautiful.  Make sure you write a special heartfelt thank-you note for the jewelry; guaranteed she will cherish it for years to come! So refreshing to hear great MIL stories 🙂

LonnyLee:  I’m so happy to hear Good FMIL stories!!!!! I LOVE my FMIL and as a bonus she and my mom get along great!. We do spend a little more time with my FIL’s than my mom and sometimes i feel guilty but my mom has a CRAZY work schedule. But both of them have been there for dres shopping and important decisions with the wedding.

I get sad wheni read all these stories but brides with FMIL’s they don’t like. I could never imagine having FIL’s that i wouldn’t want to be around.
