I originally tried styro balls like those you’ve linked but I couldn’t get the handle to work properly. So I used these

for my bridesmaid bouquets and a larger version for mine. It’s already got the handle which makes life much easier. However, my flowers are paper, which is much lighter than fabric, so I don’t know if that will be an issue. If they are falling out I don’t think glue will work. It’ll just ull oout some of the foam as it comes out. It really needs to stick in and stay on its own.

I didn’t use styrafoam balls for mine… I just attached thick floral wire to the flowers and then bunched them up, taped them with floral tape, and wrapped it! It ended up keeping its shape fairly well!

@REchick:  The ones that I used already had the handle built in. It’s hard clear plastic. I’m probably going to hand some colorful ribbon from the end. If you want to use your own handle, you’ll just need to figure out how to securely attach it to the ball. Again, glue doesn’t really work well, because it just pulls away. But an irregularly shaped piece of wood might work. Definitely better than a perfectly round dowel, which just spun around and around when I tried to glue it in.

@REchick:  I found my 7″ white styrofoam balls for $2 at Dollrarma, they occasionally have them and I kept looking out for them for a whole year and collected enough for 22 centerpieces.

@REchick:  I find it’s hard to come by with Dollarama but check ANY and ALL dollarstores in your area, I found this random no big name dollar store in my city and they were selling all different sizes of styrofoam balls for cheaper than Dollarama.
