Shkragoldfish:  I’m generally pretty oily and I use MUFE HD foundation.  As long as I have a good primer underneath (the MUFE primer currently) the shine stays pretty minimal.  If I have any shine by mid day, I use one blotting sheet and I’m good to go.

I’ve had good luck with MUFE and also (my current choice) Smashbox Studio Skin 15 hour wear. With my primer I do fairly well. I am an oily individual. I think I’m going to wear the Studio Skin on my wedding day.

Hey! I have oily and acne prone skin and i have tried everything. I used Ink by Kat Van d. And not only did it make my skin flawless but i didnt oil through and it lasts allllllll day. I wouldnt recommend it for an all day everyday use, but i wouldnt recommend Mac either. Costume make up not practical every day use. But i did prefer Ink over mac by far!

I use MUFE HD foundation. Just make sure you apply very light layers at a time.

Shkragoldfish:  out of your choices, I’d say the MUFE mat velvet.

    Personally, I suggest:

    – Estée Lauder Double Wear

    – Kat Von D Lock it foundation

    – Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder foundation.

I prefer all of these these to MUFE HD or mat velvet. They’ll last all day, and will require no or very little touchups. The KVD and Estee DW are tricky to apply, but once you learn how to apply them correctly, it’ll give you flawless skin for many hours. The Hourglass foundation is magic and failproof, it’s just too pricy for me.

Edit (the edit feature is not working on my phone!):

I have combination skin, with very dry forehead/cheeks and VERY oily t-zone. The MUFE HD makes me super shiny two-three hours in, even with a great primer underneath and well prepped skin. I really do not recommend it unless you’re okay with blotting throughout the day.

flowercrowns:  Lock it, not Ink lol. Good for ink’d skin is what i was thinking.

I found with Hourglass that if your PH levels are off the color looked completely different.. did you find this? Im sure this is probably with most.

Shkragoldfish:  sorry, with the foundation. I have the primer but prefer the smashbox brand. I find the primer from hour glass feels oily. The hourglass foundations felt nice… but really orangy tone. I tested out the Kat Von d brand, and it was fab!
