    Would you consider a mid-dark chestnut brown – something that would please your FI but would have a bit more oomph than your natural colour.

    Based on the second to last picture, you have incredible eyes that would really pop with a slightly darker brown I think.

    Hairdresser’s perspective here…I think you’d look gorgeous in a more rich brown with a hint of red in it…the poster before me mentioned chestnut, and I think that would be very flattering.

    @aliciaspinnet:  +1

    I like the brown, but I would add some warmth to it, make it chocolatey.

    Meant to add…if you do go for a richer brown, make sure you or your make-up artist fill your eyebrows in so that they complement the new shade.

    @BowSister:  For a more classic and timeless look, I’d stick to one color and not do the trendier layered color effect.

    @LilRhodyGem: I agree. I really do not like the two-tone look (I like highlights, but not the “x colour on the bottom, y colour on the top) and as it’s a trend that’s already come and gone, to me it looks very dated. Only to be exaggerated years down the road.

    @applecat:  That was my immediate thought!

    A warm, rich brown with reddish highlights will look natural and be most flattering to your skin and eyes. I think the brown you have now is a little too cool/light. A bonus of dark hair (says the girl with VERY dark brown hair) is that it looks so much shinier!

    Personally, I’m not a fan of really bold/unnatural hair colors- I can see the “fun” appeal, but for your wedding photos you want your hair to look timeless.

    @applecat:  I agree. The trend has left the station at least a year ago, maybe more.

    The warm chocolatey brown would look awesome, but I also really like you as a blonde!

    Do you have a dress picked out yet, or at least some ideas? I could see you rocking a fun, whimsical dress with the blonde hair.

    The darker chestnut like applecat posted will look gorgeous.
