Well you can't actually make your hair grow faster. But if it is healthier, it'll just look better. I use Redken products (Real Control) and really like them. I had ear-length hair in 2007 and now it's down past my bra strap. You'd never know i had to grow it out all that length b/c it's not frayed and i get trims every 6 months.
Best way to help your hair grow is to take prenatal vitamins. Yes they are totally safe for you to take if your not pregnant. Plus all the extra vitamins and minerals have a great impact on your skin too.
also...get hair trimmed. Healthy ends promote health growth~ just choose your stylist carefully and someone you TRUST. I hate that when you say you only want 1/4 inch or something trimmed they take 2 inches. haha
I'm taking prenatal vitamins, Nioxin vitamin/supplement, and high potency Biotin.
Plus, washing with Nioxin shampoo and conditioner with a Fekkai Salon Technician Color Care Rapid Results Mousture Mask 2 times a week.
I, also, cut down on straightening my hair...from EVERYDAY to only 2 days a week. I found out my hair is wavy. Haha!
I found this "hair diet" in a magazine not too long ago. Seemed to have lots of good info...it's where I found the Fekkai hair mask which is the best thing I've ever put on my hair.
I measured my roots today and they are roughly 2 1/2 inches. The last time I got my hair highlighted was on Dec. 17...started the vitamins about 3 weeks ago. Hoping to see if this is all really working within the next month or so.
I had heard about Nioxin, but I couldn't remember the name of it...Thanks!! I'm not so sure about the Prenatal meds though...it might scare my FI!
Love Pureology. And wash your hair every other day. It'll be SO much healthier! :)
Isn't Nioxin for balding guys?! haha my Dad uses it for his hair, and I was always afraid of using it becuase I thought the chemicals would be make me loose my hair :p
I really like the Paul Mitchell or Biolage products
Try GNC's Hair Skin & Nails vitamins. I take one a day, and I'm noticing that my nails are growing a lot faster and my hair is a little stronger and healthier.
From what I've been told, you shouldn't really take prenatal vitamins unless you are trying to get pregnant or are already pregnant. I'm not in the medical field and I could totally be wrong, but here's an article from the Mayo Clinic that I read awhile ago: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/prenatal-vitamins/AN01665.
I used to take some nail strengthener vitamins, but it made me a bit sick. I wonder if that's the same as the GNC Hair Skin & Nails vitamins?
My mom is a hairstylist and she swears by Nioxin. Yes, it is used for hair regrowth...it stimulates the hair follicle...which is what I think you are looking for...
I use it (because it is good for dry scalp - I do not have thinning hair) and it does make my hair grow faster. Since I've been using it, I have to get my hair dyed more often (5 weeks, instead of 6). It can be purchased at hair salons...though not every salon sells it, so I recommend you call around.

Hi Bees! I'm trying to grow my hair out and I was wondering what the best hair growth shampoo/conditioners are?
