Currently I use the cheapest hairspray that I can find at the store…it’s cheap for a reason. It makes my hair crunchy even with a light mist and throughout the day it makes my hair SO tangly…like I have to rip my hair out to undo the tangles. Any suggestions on what type of hairspray I should try?

My favourite is the Moroccan Oil hairspray. It smells amazing and its really soft, but still has great hold. I love all of the Moroccan Oil products though :).

I’m sure there are much better quality products out there (as far as being “good” for your hair goes), but I really like TIGI Catwalk’s Work It hairspray. My hair is really long and thick, so I need a lot of hold when I curl my hair so I broke down and spent the $15 on it. I love it though because my hair will hold its curl for no joke, however many days I go without washing it after curling it. And it doesn’t make my hair super stiff or crunchy!

@Ninteenthchance: Dove used to make a great flexible hold spray. Definitely no crunch! Just look for ones that have flexible hold. If you’re looking for firm hold, L’Oreal Elnett is supposed to be good (brushable) but it doesn’t smell all that great.

I’m a big fan of Sebastian Shaper hairspray and the big sexy hair line! Both hold really well!
