I always prefer non-inclusive myself and something with culture to learn and explore. If I wanted all-inclusive I would stay in the US because whats the point of going international if you arent going to experience their country?
It really depends on your budget. We went to Bali, Indonesia and I would definately suggest it. It was a great combo of exploration and beach. If you don't care much about beach you could explore other countries like Ireland and Scotland- also great countries!
If you are on more of a budget then something in the Carribean or Mexico or even Key West would be great. Cabo was nice for a low-key beach vacation with a few excursions like horseback riding and snorkeling.
We posters will be able to throw out suggestions for pretty much any destination in the world, but you need to tell us what your idea of "best" is. You said you were married on the beach, so is it safe to assume you are looking to go to a beach-y destination? Or you are looking to do something completely different than that? You mentioned that you would like to go in August. Do you want to go someplace close to the US or far, far away? What kind of price range are you trying to stay in? What kinds of activities are you looking to do? Some people want to just veg-out on the beach, others want non-stop athletic options available, others want historic &/or cultural attractions. For example, if you have 7 days to travel, want single connection flights, all-inclusive, have a budget of $4,000, & lots of down-time w/a lot of pampering at a resort, then flying halfway around the world might not fit the bill for you, but there are plenty of places closer to the US that would work for your dream honeymoon. On the other hand, if you wish to do the opposite of a beach destination, then looking at something other Caribbean, Central America or Mexico might be in the cards. It's all in the details.
ok, here is one
reasonably priced (and adjustable)
beautiful white sand beaches nearby
All Inclusive (includes everything you could imagine - lots of tours, great food, alcohol)

We just got married a week ago. We got married @ the beach and stayed there for the week, but our families were staying with us. I was wondering for next August where we could go to have a real alone honeymoon. With all these experienced bees, I thought maybe you could share your input. Pricewise, all inclusive or not? Islands? anything? Looking to plan, always planning......... lol.................
