@MsVoyageur:  +1 on San Diego 🙂

We’re thinking of Vegas, Hawaii, or a cruise to Mexico

I’ve just came back from our 8 week honeymoon in the USA. We did and saw alot. We even hired a car from San Fran, worked our way down the coast and dropped it off in Vegas. My top favs where:

New York is amazing along with Vegas. You’ll have so much fun and there’s sooooo much to do.

For somewhere romantic and to get some papering stay a few nights in Napier Valley and get a massage and relax by the pool. They have a wine train as well that takes you to all of the wineries.

Honolulu is a nice island but stay AWAY for wikki beach!! In fact the beach is man made and really rocky. Stay at the turtle bay resort, (they filmed ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall there) where you will feel like you away and will have plenty of space on the beach.

Hope this helps.

@Bride7844:  I stayed near Waikiki beach and the beach was fine except for being crowded.

@mandy102:  Lol totally forgot about Vegas and Hawaii! I probs wouldn’t  go to Vegas for a honeymoon because to me it’s not very romantic but there are def tons of exciting things to do there. And Hawaii is a pretty amazing honeymoon spot!

@MsVoyageur: I agree about Vegas not being romantic I just have never been there and I would love to go to Hawaii again but’s it’s very expensive

I’ll throw in my 2 cents about Vegas. We went there for a few days after our wedding and it was fabulous – anything can be romantic. We had an amazing suite at the hotel, did spa things together, lots of room service, even took a day trip to the Grand Canyon. The Cirque show we went to was Zumanity – it’s adults only and topless, very sexy. 😉 And there are about a million incredibly nice and romantic restaurants to enjoy. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, people were falling all over themselves with free things and discounts and all kinds of stuff. Any place can be romantic if you want it to be!

That being said, I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to wine country in California. It seems like the perfect US getaway destination.

@MsVoyageur:  -Napa (spring/summer/fall)
@msbriezyb:

I agree, but then again I’m biased. I particularly love it here in the fall October-early November. It is beyond gorgeous with all the vines changing colors and the crip weather. If we didn’t already live here we would have definitely honeymooned in the valley. So romantic!

*Sigh*
