My favorites are Kauai, Big Island, Maui, Ohau, in that order. Kauai, less developed than Maui, gorgeous, a lot of "hidden treasures" to discover. Big Island is awesome cause of volcanoes! Where else can you hike across a giant crater. Maui is pretty, Haleakela is the only thing I really loved about it that was unique to it. And Ohau was very touristy. Check out the Maui Revealed/Big Island Revealed series, block text/blue cover, GREAT guide books for Hawaii.
We went to Kauai and Maui and loved both islands. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai and it was nice but I think I would have preferred the St. Regis in Princeville. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui and I think thats the closest I'm ever getting to heaven. I second the revealed guides to the islands. We used it for Kauai and found some great hiking trails/places to eat that way.

DH and I took a mini moon after the wedding and went to San Francisco. Our one year anniversary is in May and we would like to go to Hawaii and have our "official" honeymoon. The problem is, we do not know anything about Hawaii! What resorts are best? What island? Any suggestions?
