I’m a minimalist when it comes to makeup and I’ve never used liquid foundation prior to my engagement party when I had my makeup professionally done. I didn’t have time for a trial or time to go makeup shopping because the party was sort of rushed and last minute. The ENTIRE time I felt like I was wearing a mask and all I was thinking about was that I couldn’t wait to go home and wash my face. I don’t want the same feeling on my wedding day.
Any suggestions for a barely there liquid foundation that lasts and makes you look flawless? I tried mineral foundation and it makes my pores look huge…

I really like the true match…it’s really light and gives good coverage.

Almay smart shade isn’t bad, IMO.

@MercyK: I like almay, not sure if its the smart shade I use or a different one. Its light with good coverage. I never feel like its caked on.
Its most important to find the right color though so that it doesnt give you that mask look with the line around your face.

@Violet678: Would you consider this light? I heard this was a great foundation but extremely heavy duty and originally used in movies for under water scenes?

@Violet678: @Frukaj: I think the HD is a great foundation, it covers perfectly, doesn’t look like a mask and is lighter than most other foundations. Maybe you can go to a counter and try it out? If you do, you can also take a look at their Face & Body foundation. It’s very light, but doesn’t cover much. I don’t know how much you’d want to cover up, but if you have good skin, the Face & Body and maybe a little concealer could work for you.
Both of them are easy to apply so if you choose to venture into make-up more often, I think this would be a great start 🙂

The Covergirl Natureluxe liquid silk foundation is good. Also, I like Rimmel Clean Finish foundation.

I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. It’s light coverage, and feels like I have nothing on.

I agree that MUFE HD is a good option. It really does not feel heavy and looks very natural when appkied correctly. I also found Lancome’s Tient Resistant to feel very light and natural.

Here’s another vote for Laura Mercier. It’s definitely more expensive than drugstore brands, but it’s so worth it!

I also recommend the Makeup Forever HD. I was in a wedding at the end of February and typically don’t wear foundation, but wanted some for pictures. I actually got 2 good sized samples and help picking out color at Sophora, and could barely tell I had it on.
It was great.

Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer or try a BB cream (I prefer Etude or Missha). BB creams give me more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but feel awesome and it just looks like my skin. I can wear the LM tinted moisturizer or my BB creams and not feel like I haev anything on. I can get away with no powder to set w/ BB creams (but I typically do anyway) but get a little shiny mid afternoon w/ the tinted moisturizer

I think if you ask what lighter lines Lise Watier or Vichy offer, they may be good. After trying many brands, I love those because they stay put, are oil free and don’t have those horrible, horrible parabens that you find in so much other make up, which is a huge no-no for me.

I really love FIT me by Maybelline. It covers any imperfections but it looks like you’re not wearing any makeup at all! It’s also one of the few that has a shade light enough for my very pale skin.
