Have you tried the Almay line for different colored eyes?  I have the one with a rose/purple, light shimmery green, and dark green combos.  I have the raisin quartz mascara too.  LOVE them!!  It does show you where to put the different colors, but I find the dark green a little too harsh so I use it as eyeliner instead.

I have hazel eyes, too. My makeup artist used a bit of rich plum on my eyes for my engagement photos. She’s a pro, so it didn’t look like I was bruised at all. It definitely brought out the color in my eyes.

I have hazel eyes and I find that plum shades look the best. I wear MAC “shadowy lady” and while I’ve used the same eyeshadow to make makeup bruises when it’s around my eyes it doesn’t look like a bruise, it just has to be applied right

I have green eyes (well, one is bluish green, the other is more brownish green).  Purple always looks best on me.  The two colors compliment each other very well.

I have hazel eyes too. I wear browns, greens and black/gray a lot but I also love wearing purple because it really brings out the green in the hazel.

Another pair of hazel eyes here!

I like some plum shades but sometimes it also brings out the red/ruddiness of my skin, which I don’t like.  I also don’t like the “I’m wearing makeup!” look that some purple tones can have.

One piece of advice that I really like is to pick colors that look like the natural colors of your eyelid.  Neutrals which have a hint of purple in them look good.  Browns/greys that have some blue or purple tone look nice and not bruised at all!

While I like MAC’s pigmentation, and I know that they make some great neutrals, I stray towards Bobbi Brown, Chanel and Clinique.  I have Chanel’s “Dunes” and that makes for some great neutral and smoky eyes.  I’d like to try “Prelude” or “Mystic” one of these days.  Very often I’ll wear just the vanilla color from Dunes all over and then either the pink or taupe color on my lid.  Then I’ll line in either the dark brown or I’ll use a gel liner.  Any more than that and my eyes look way done up.

Bobbi Brown colors that might work: Saddle or Cocoa, maybe Black Plum for a liner and Bone or Shell for a highlight.

I have green/hazel eyes (mostly green though) and I stay with natural colors.
