I have a gel or shellac manicure that is very similiar. Love it!!! I can go three weeks without any chipping!!
wow those look really natural, LOVE IT!!! How do I find a salon that does that? Just call around?
They look awesome!! I am planning on doing those soon for my wedding. Knowing me, with regular polish, I'll have my nails chipped by the end of the night even if I get my mani done in the morning. I hear good things about gel nails and it usually only costs about $10 more.
@carriejuly: Love Shellac! I got mine done before the wedding and it lasted through the honeymoon. It didn't really love the salt water on our HM, but I think it was because I just got the top coat done rather than the whole system. I'd definitely do it again though!
@Gina-Marie: yea, it's just a thicker coating vs reg nail polish. it doesn't thicken my nails, it literally feels like a regular manicure! just this extra powerful stuff that makes it last a lot longer :)

This past wknd, my gf took me to a nail salon for OPI's AXXIUM manicures.
I.AM.IN.LOVE!
It's the combination of regular manicure + artificial nails. I hate getting tips or acrylics because I can feel my nailbeds suffocating. My nails grow, when I don't pick at them, so whenever I can I just like painting my own nails. However, I also don't like having to wait for hours for the nails to completely dry... or getting them chipped just a few hours later.
Axxium is a three layer gel/polish under UV ray manicure that makes your nails dry instantly!
It's been 3 days and I still don't have a chip :)
