Unfortunately, all our non-registry gifts had to be returned because we either had no need for them, they were duplicates or they were just really not our style. Oh well.
The best non-registry gift was from a couple that gave us Best Buy gift cards. We used them to buy two GPS's which we used in our move from California to Texas. We still rely on it since we're pretty new to the area we live in now, and it's really helped us from getting lost!

Reaction to our wedding has been kind of well, disappointing. I've posted elsewhere about pining for congratulatory cards. But our friend surprised us with a limo on the day of our wedding! It was completely unexpected and really wonderful! We could go all over San Francisco, take photos, and leave our things in the car.
I'm not married yet; but I do have an Awesome gift Idea if it's the style of the Bride & Groom. My cousin got married this past June & They had someone give them a Frame with 7 5x7 openings in it. There Last name was 7 Letters long & they found Large things to photograph that looked like all the letters of their last name. I'll try and attach a picture. It was soo awesome! I loved it. I guess it's obvious that it would be hard to give this to someone with 10+ letters in their last name. But you could choose other phrases such as LOVE/FAMIlY ect. I loved it!

I haven't been married yet, but so far the best present we've received is hand-made plushies of FI & I's first cosplay costume characters, from my friend. Totally the most thoughtful/meaningful gift ever (for us anyway..haha)
We got a few unexpected, but thoughtful gifts. I love the idea of the etched ice bucket-what a special heirloom!

Hey ladies! So the hubbie and I are super fortunate to have the most amazing family and friends ever and I thought I'd share about some unexpected gifts we got that we loved and thought were just fantastic ideas.
Some of my friends pitched in and bought us a glass ice bucket from Tiffany's with our EXACT invitation inscribed on the front of it. I definitely started crying when I saw it. I never would have thought to do something like that, or that it could even be done. I'm still so touched every time I look at it (and not just because it's Tiffany's, that's bonus!).
Another one of my friends and her boyfriend got us two champagne bottles with custom labels. The labels have my favorite engagement picture on it and say: Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Last Name and then underneath that, one bottle said Wedding Day and the other One Year Anniversary followed by our wedding date. A great "one for now, one for later" gift. It will be so nice to have something to drink with our cake next October.
Anyone else get a really incredible gift that they weren't expecting?
