I can’t help you on a cheap one because I’ve HATED every single one. I got an All-Clad one from Williams-Sonoma for Christmas. It changed my life.

PS, I’d recommend you read Alton Brown’s advice from Gear for your Kitchen before buying anything. He’s also got good information in his waffle episode of Good Eats, which you can find on YouTube. I think he suggests a relatively inexpensive one in the video.

We bought this Oster flip waffle maker from Target a couple of weeks ago, and have already gotten SO much use out of it!

We got it on sale for $29, but it is usually on $39 – either way, very worth it!  I had some trepidation about it being Oster, but it has turned out perfect waffles time and again.

@sarahbabs:  We got the same one during the sale! We had to put it up high for storage so we won’t be tempted by it too often. 🙂

Seriously, that model is very easy to use, and we found a delicious buttermilk waffle recipe in the book. I plan on experimenting with it more, but need to restrain myself from indulging too much.

@sarahbabs:  I have this one too and I LOVE it. We use it almost every weekend and it is so easy to clean up.

@LibertyBelle:  LOL, that is prob a good idea!  My fiance is the one who makes waffles most of the time, because he just loves it so much.  I have a hard time saying no to him hehe

We have this and absolutely love it. We make waffles, pancakes and omlets in seconds. Put your setting on 2 and you will have perfect everything every time! I also love adding strawberries to my pancakes and waffles and it’s so delish. It’s like our weekend ritual to cook with this now.
