Last month we ttc without really charting, monitoring ovulation, etc and did not get pregnant. So this month we are stepping it up a notch. I’m considering using fertility/ovulation strips. Would you recommend this? Is it helpful? Any other tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@IUrebekah3RT: I really like Wonfro that are super cheap on Amazon. They arent as fancy, but I like that I can pee on them in the morning and afternoon and not feel guilty about using “so many”

@KoiKove: +1. I went through so many test strips this last cycle because I could! If I had the more expensive drugstore ones I probably wouldn’t have tested as often, leaving me wondering more.

I will recommend Clearblue Easy Ovulation Test Kit. I am TTC for over 6 months and last month I decided to buy the Clearblue OPK and now I know that I ovulate sooner than I thought. Wondfo is a guessing game and too open for interpretation.

I recommend them. I bought mine from Amazon, got 20 for about £5 I think.

I always see people guessing like mad trying to interpret if this is a positive line or not on wondfos so they weren’t for me. I used Clearblue Advanced Digital OPK, they were expensive, but I really liked the empty circle for low fertility, flashing smiley for high fertility (which I skipped and went straight to the smiley), and the full smiley saying it’s go time. Now, I don’t know if I actually ovulated on CD 9 or 10, because once you get the full smiley, it stays there for 2 days, and you have 48hrs. So, we just BD the first day we got the smiley, and the second day for good measure. Hopefully, we get good news soon!
