I know Creative Memories makes a butterfly, but it's on the small side. (Part of the Meadow Micro Maker set). From my experience, any punch they make is far superior to things you get at a craft store. They can be a little pricey, but definitely worth it if you will be punching a lot.
The best punch you can get in stores is probably one by Fiskars. I'm pretty sure that the Martha Stewart punches are made by EK Success. I had a EK round punch that was junk and died on me when I was working on punching over 200 circles for my Christmas cards. If you aren't punching a lot or if you aren't using a thick paper or cardstock, you could probably get by with a cheaper one.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
Thanks so much! That's exactly the sort of advice I needed. I have to punch at least 120 butterflies so I need a good one!

Hi ladies,
I've gotten a lot of information and inspiration from Weddingbee and the boards, but this is the first time I'm asking for advice. I'm looking for a butterfly paper punch to create the closures for my invites. There are a zillion butterfly paper punches out there. Can I assume that Martha's is the best, or is there another brand that you more experienced scrapbookers/crafters would recommend? Or are they all pretty much the same? Many thanks for your thoughts,
Sarah
