I kinda hate BBB.  They’re overpriced and everyone gets those 20% off coupons or else they wouldn’t be priced right.  I feel like they suck lol.  Honestly, I look at registries, find the exact item online and order it for the cheapest I can find it, then call the store and have them remove it from the registry.  So, maybe I’m the wrong person to ask.  But, I would pick 2 places – a more expensive place and a cheaper place.  Like Crate and Barrel and Target or something.

I dont think we can answer this for you bc only you know what you need, want, or like and the types of things you like. I’m registered at BBB and Crate & Barrel.

Bed Bath and Beyond is the best of both worlds. They have all your high quality items (e.g. crystal, china, toasting flutes, etc.) and all the inexpensive items too. Plus your guests can use their coupons. A place like Macy’s doesn’t have coupons.

I loved loved loved registering at crate and barrel. They have lots of stores, the stores are awesome to shop in, the registry was convenient to make, use, and look at, and they have a great app.

I also had one at Macy’s, and it was so inconvenient. They didn’t have half the things in the store online so that made editing the registry terrible. Their site is also glitchy.

@jg780806 Macy’s does run sales and offers coupons regularly (I get them about once a month in the mail).

However, with the coupons or sales, you’re probably looking at about the same price at BB&B for the same item.  We are registered at both, just to make it easier for our guests to get to one or the other.  We didn’t chose Crate and Barrel (though I LOVE them) or Williams Sonoma because there aren’t many stores and they’re only in big cities (for OOT guests) and they are a little more expensive to us.

Out of these I’d go with Macys.  We got some really nice gifts from them off our registry at reasonable prices.  We went through Target & Macy’s and combined them on  I really liked using Amazing registry because I think it made it a little easier on anyone who would look online.  They could see everything all at once rather than having to look at a bunch of different places.  That way you don’t have to feel bad about registering at multiple places.

Williams Sonoma is another good one! We also registered at Macy’s and Crate & Barrel.

We registered at Kohl’s, Crate & Barrel, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

BB&B was my favorite by FAR! And it seemed to be the guests’ favorite as well. We got most of the items on it, and we got several hundred dollars in BBB gift cards. We got $0 in Kohl’s and C&B gift cards. Then again, our C&B registry was tiny (just dishes and placemats). Kohl’s didn’t offer a very impressive completion offer – just 15% off coupon, which I get on a weekly basis anyway via their email club. I just waited until I got a regular 30% off from my Kohl’s Card to finish the registry.

BB&B also wins because they offered a completion event where we got 20% off of our entire purchase – usually their coupons are only good for one item. We had to come in between 8-10am on a specific day, but they had free donuts/coffee/juice, and door prizes. We won a free $50 split pan, it’s neat:

@aggie2010  BB&B didn’t tell us about the completion offer!  Good to know, thanks.

I did forget that Macy’s has the same completion offer.  If you have a Macy’s card, you also get 5% back on everything your guests buy off the registry and 10% off anything you buy at Macy’s during your registry period that they send you on a gift card after your wedding date.  It’s also very easy to do returns/exchanges with Macy’s (had to return 3 items from shower that were doubles).

I have to say that as a guest, I freaking LOVE Bed Bath and Beyond.  I just like the stuff they sell- it’s pretty reasonable quality for the price with the coupon.  Plus (the best part!) you can wrap up your gift in the store free of charge.  It is flipping fantastic to just get it done and out of the way and not have to worry about buying wrapping paper (that’s not Christmas, ha) or tissue paper or tape or anything.

I’d say BBB, mainly because they give you cash refunds for returned items from the registry.

I definitely wouldn’t do more than 2 registries.

We are going to register at Bloomingdales…but out of the list you provided I would definitely go with Crate and Barrel 🙂

I got too excited about registering when I first started, so I’m currently registered at Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Target, Macy’s, BBB, Amazon, Kohl’s and Bloomingdale’s. I’ll delete all but 2, and right now my #1 choice is BBB. My #2 choice is down to Crate & Barrel or Kohl’s.

BBB has a wide selection of pretty good quality stuff, is easy to shop in-store and online, their customer service is great, and they have the most reasonable prices Target is actually cheaper, but they mostly carry value lines of top brands, which makes certain things way overpriced, and I’ve read too many horror stories about their registry system.

I personally hate Kohl’s, but I’m considering keeping my registry there because we get back a small percentage of what our guests buy, in the form of a gift card.

I love Crate & Barrel’s stuff, but for some reason everyone I know thinks they’re way more expensive than they really are. Our guests might be so prejudiced against C&B that they won’t bother to look and see how cheap they are, and I might not receive anything off of this registry.
