Reposting here from the DIY board. Hoping for some printer recommendations before i buy one.
I had my Save The Dates and invites designed by my graphic designer friend. I ordered paper samples and tried to print them today on my work printer (with permission to do so) and I could not get them to print right. I am using an A2 pre cut blank invite and no matter how I adjust the settings it prints off center with a slight border around it. The printer itself let’s you enter in a custom size but it doesn’t allow you to choose two numbers after the decimal point. So instead of being able to input 4.25 x 5.5 I can inly enter 4.2 or 4.3. It does have 2 postcard settings for 4 x 6 and 3.5 x 5 already but I can’t find the paper I want pre-cut in that size.
I am at the point where I think it’s probably best to just buy a printer since I have tons of items I want to DIY and will need to print . I have been looking for recommendations and have found some on this board but many are a few years old and the printers have been discontinued and can’t be found on Amazon 🙁 Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive printer that will get the job done on thick card stock ( And other items I plan to DIY) ? I don’t want to spend hours struggling with a custom size. The printer I am dealing with now is a Xerox Laser work centre that prints high quality but clearly has some issues with custom sizes And printing full bleed.
Any advice and printer recommendations you have would be appreciated.
