Hey Bees! I know lots of you have designed your own invitations and I was curious what websites or programs you used. How did you like it and how much did you pay to design? I need to make a design for custom printing plates for our invitations. Thanks!

We printed our own invitations.  We ordered the invites packages from www.invitationsbydawn.com.  I chose the wording and he did the layout and they were printed in less than a day.  Its really easy :)

I just did our RD invite in power point, which was a PITA...

I used AI to customize our STD, which was pretty easy, I just don't have the money to purchase the program after my trial went out.

I used Illustrator to design mine. You could likely use a free program like GIMP too!

I couldn't stomach the price of ordering this stuff pre-printed when we could do it ourselves.  The cost of printing is seriously not what they make it out to be.  We bought enough to have 150 invitations and we paid .92/piece.  It took patience to figure out the layout but once we did it was smooth sailing.  We designed and are printing our own programs too

I used Illustrator to design my STD's.  I didn't know anything about the program, just knew about MS Publisher, after watching tutorials online and help from the hive I got em done and they look great!

I used Publisher.....some template they already had and modified to be what I was after.

It's hard to tell, but there is a pink detailed border on the left and top sides...I used that border on my directions and rsvp card as well as placing them on the same blue cardstock to make everything feel more coordinated.

We designed our own using adobe illustrator and used vistaprint to print. They did a good job and the price was great.

We are using Illustrator's free trial to design our invites. We're also getting the photopolymer plates made through Boxcar. I think this was one of their preferred programs for designing, since it will make a copy into .pdf. Best of luck!
