I recommend going to a salon to get a self-tanner application or mystic tan spray or something... you can get one for about $25-35, I think?
I've found that at home self-tanners are inconsistent and risky... with that being said, Jergens gradual self-tanner is very popular. (I had a hard time applying it evenly, though).
I personally really like Bain de Soleil, available at department stores. They have different products for face and body. I have used it for years. I like the fragrance, but my friend finds it too strong, so be sure you like the smell since it tends to linger. It applies very nicely and gives even color.
Clinique has a great self tanner and the Jergens natural glow works really well too.
I've used the body shop brand in the past. I find that it works really nicely and goes on evenly, but the scent (not too bad or strong, but def. unique) bothers me a little bit which is why I stopped using it.

I would definitely do a trial run weeks if not months before your wedding. I haven't used a home self-tanner yet that didn't rub off on the edges of my bra...and since you're probably going to wear a shade of white I'd try the professional route first. I hear the airbrush tans are wonderful and can last up to two weeks! Good luck!

I used the Jergens one for a while and liked it - I didn't want a whole lot of color but a gradual deepening and it was great. After a while, people noticed and said nice things like, "you look like you've gotten a little sun" (as opposed to, "why are you orange?")

In hopes to avoid skin cancer/wrinkles/sunspots I'm opting for the self-tanning option for my wedding.
What self-tanner would you recommend?
