I wore Spanx under my dress and loved it! It was super comfortable and it didn't roll down or anything because my dress kept it up. Kept everything nice and smooth. :)
I tried on the shapewear slip at victorias secret.. It was hard to get on and hard to get off.. But it sucked me in and did not ride up.. It was around 70 bucks.. im also a size 12 and three kids later my spare tire is here to stay 
but that thing did wonders!
i also went with spanx. i've heard nothing but good things about it, although i haven't had an opportunity to wear it yet.
I've worn spanks a few times, only had it roll down once. You're bridal salon or another one that is close might carry them and will be able to fit it for you. They have to fit right or you won't like them.
I'd recommend spanks under a long line corset...why? I you'll feel hot in a corset and it will stay up WAY better than a bra. Two, nothing tucks in the waist like a corset. Three the corset will keep your spanks up if WORST case scenario the top rolls. Four Spanks will smooth your hip line which a corset cannot
Spanx for sure :) Wore that under my bridesmaid dress and it worked great! Wasn't uncomfortable and held everything together nicely too. No rolls, very smooth.

I am DEFINITELY needing to wear some shapewear underneath my dress. I have the dreaded spare tire (I'm about a size 12) I obviously want to wear something that will slim and smooth my entire torso so I am thinking probably some kind of corset. But I want to wear something that doesnt ride up or fall down or something that I have to worry about the entire day!
I am not too concerned about price because I want to look good and I got my dress for 35 dollars!
SO with that said, what is THE BEST corset or whatever that you would reccomend? And where can I find it?
