Can't help too much, I've always had the same problem with spanx and other shape wear. Although, a bff of mine wears one of these from JCP with all her dresses and it look great! Don't really know how to explain it other than it's a tummy sucker with lots of stiff boneing!

I agree, spanx just rearranges the extra weight rather than minimizing it.
Have you tried control top granny panties? They suck in the stomach a little bit (you may look 5 lbs lighter), but wont' do anything for the hips.
I think you look great! But I hear you, I wanted to do the same for my e-photos. I found an amazing pair on amazon, I ordered a size smaller than I am. I mean it was like I had 8 billion rubber bands all over my body. But, it had straps.
Spanx makes a top that goes under the bust like you describe and may have a slip like that too. Check out their website.
I was in Macy's this week and tried on some of their shapewear. They all "moved" stuff around. It wasn't pretty! lol. Spanx is still my favorite.
I agree w/ @Heatherloveskenny. I actually have a shaper from Annette. Its like hooks and then zips. Amazing.
Spanx has never worked for me. I feel like I'm wearing control top pantyhose w/ out the hoisery. Just never stays up.
@DarleneP: I ordered the dress fro beyondtherack its a Robbie Bee amazon has it in brown super comfy... just need to kick a few more pounds and get flattened out lol
@Heatherloveskenny: have you tired the one from amazon in like is it a firm control do you know!

Hey there Bees!
I was wondering if anyone has found a good shape wear that has straps and comes under the bust with firm tummy control and then down to the knees. I'm looking for something for my engagement pictures!! I've been using spanx kinda like shorts but
a) they roll down and I don't want to constantly readjust
b) to get the tummy flattening effect I end up with muffin tops and extra rolls everywhere else
c) the tummy part never really makes it flat enough
So does anyone know of something that actually works? This is the dress I am losing weight to fit in... (still in the process)
already lost 25lbs, but I'd like things to flatten out a little.
