Bees, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to rings! As in my previous post I said I was looking for a right hand ring. I’ve been looking a lot online at morganite with rose gold band rings, but I’m not sure which sites I can trust. Obviously the chain stores (that have locations in my city) are trustworthy, but not sure about other sites. Can you recommend any sites for me?
(ps. they have to be able to ship to Canada!)

My fiance ordered mine from Blue Nile after doing extensive online and in person research. After he proposed he commented how helpful and great the customer service was in addition to the quality and price point of my ring. They also offer a 30-day exchange policy which allows you to change size of band, carat size, etc. for free within those 30 days. Happpy Shopping!

Check out etsy! I would suggest Rosados Box. She’s got a lot of morganite with rose gold rings in her shop. Just be sure to check seller’s reviews if you decide to buy on Etsy. Good luck!

Thanks! I’ll check out both of those! I was looking at a couple Etsy shops, but wasn’t sure if I could trust what they were saying (is it actually rose gold they’re selling me or just sterling silver with a rose coating? I’m just very wary!).

_blackbird_: gemvera.com is amazing! Full warning it’s addictive, my wish list has about two dozen items (including RHRs for several right hands!).

If you ordered online: where do you take your ring to get cleaned? Just a local jeweler? I’m debating between ordering from a site online, or ordering online but from an actual store in my city. I feel like it might be better to order from a store in my city and get the warranty where cleanings are free….however I like some of the rings from the other online sites SOOO much. I can’t decide!

_blackbird_: Check out Brilliant Earth. My FI got my ring there and had teh best experience. It was actually too big so we had to ship it back. They ship it back and return it to you for free and I had it back in less than a week – pretty great when it’s going to and coming from California… I’m in Canada as well.

_blackbird_: We did tons and tons of research. We had a few online stores we wanted to buy from and who offered great deals on all sorts of rings I liked. We eventually went with Platinum Jewelers on EBay. Awesome customer service! The young lady who helped my FI contacted us to congratulate us on our engagement and gave us free re-sizing, cleanings, and maintenance for life (they pay for postage to and from for the rings). She remembers us both and is always checkig in to make sure everything is going well with us and our purchase from their company. The ring came with it’s certificate and was appraised. Not to mention the price was amazing and under the stated ring budget he set.
Ebay can be tricky. You have to make sure you know what you’re doing and you’re asking all the necessary questions and have a lot of photos in front of you. I would also call the individual/jeweler on the other end and speak with them. The good thing about EBay is it does have some sort of protection against frauds should you ever run into that problem on any item that is sold on there.
Exhaust all your options that are provided to you. Take the time to learn as much as you can. Ask questions for the jewlers and make sure you get exactly what you want. Good Luck!
