Make a Photo book on a Mac! They make the best photo books that look amazing! I will be making one with all our wedding pics.
This weekend I saw one that was made by Shutterfly.com. It was really nicely done. I don't know how much they paid for it though.
Just got my blurb book yesterday and I was happy with it but I dont have anything to compare it to. It was really easy to use and order and came very quickly even with the slow shipping option. The only thing was I was expecting the book to be bigger but thats my own fault for not realizing dimensions! The pictures came out great and the pages are thick and glossy just like I had wanted!
Picaboo has very high quality books and albums. We are using them to create albums for our parents and grandparents that are higher quality than the average Blurb book.
This is the exact thread I've been meaning to post! Hope no one minds me highjacking it for my own question!
Has anyone used a photobook for a guestbook? I figure the pages need to be really thick to have it not look totally beat up by the end of the night?
We used Adoramapix for our photobook. They print on photo paper and have lay flat pages that many other photobook companies don't offer. This allowed us to have a couple pictures spread over 2 pages. Their quality has been rated higher than a lot of the other companies out there but they are a little more pricey. I made my 10x10 photobook of 50 pages for $92. Still waiting on receiving it but I've read nothing but good things about them!!
My boudoir photog suggested mpix. I'm checking out the site right now and it looks pretty cool.
I used snapfish for albums for our parents as xmas presents last year and they turned out good. The pages weren't as think as I would have liked, but still good for what I paid for them
I have used a few different ones, but MyPublisher was my favorite. I am currently waiting on my order from Picaboo which is my photo book Guest book, I have heard they do a good job also, so I hope what I heard is right. I have also heard a lot of good things about Blurb and Mixbook. Blurb will be the next one I order.
Here are some FREE coupons for Picaboo and Blurb.
Picaboo is for first time users. They take a total of $39.95 off of your order which amounts to a free decently-sized photobook. The one I ordered is 8.5x11 landscape with a leather cover and paid $8.99 s/h.
I found Blurb's coupon online and it is only good for like a month. I can't find it right now but I will post it as soon as I get home if you are interested. This works the same way as the Picaboo coupon and you only have to pay s/h.
I also did several of my own wedding photo books using MyPublisher, Blurb and Mpix both as gifts to parents and for us to keep. Most recently I did a lay flat photo book with super thick pages with AdoramaPix and it's my favorite wedding photo book I've done so far. Their software is very easy to use as well and has a "one-touch" two page spread button which saves a lot of time not having to line it up and guess. I write a blog on photo books if you're interested in seeing detailed reviews. I happened to get into blogging on photo books because of doing my own DIY wedding photo albums.

Just as an update- I received my photo book guest book in the mail the other day from Picaboo and... it was AMAZING! It looked way better than it even did online and the photo quality was beautiful. I would definitely recommend them.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a website to use to make my own photobook? I was going to use Blurb but wanted to see if there was anything better. I'm looking for good quality and user friendly to create...thanks!
