I'm not talking about catch all registry services- but in terms of actual stores and websites, where have you had the most success?

NOT Macy's or Target...I hated them both for my daughter's registries.

I love Crate and Barrel. I don't think the perks are that great for registering there. I just love their products and furniture.

I registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I have really liked them so far, they're really helpful. Plus, anything that is left on your registry you can buy at a discount for a year after the wedding. I also registered at Target but only because they changed their return policy, they used to limit it to only 2 returns without receipts but they finally changed it.  I just wanted to have 'less expensive' alternatives for people because I know everyone is struggling some way/some how right now. i.e., I changed my $160 espresso machine at bed, bath, and beyond for a $70 one at target

ooh i'm interested in this post too, still trying to decide!

target really changed their return policy?  i used to be a huge fan of target until i had to return some things and they flat our refused me, even w/ a receipt!  also my friend tried to exchange a wedding gift (blanket) for another color and they wouldnt allow her to.

I registered at Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond. Loved Macy's, sort of disliked BBB.

BBB - I had returned a couple items that I changed my mind about and when I got home and looked at my registry they were showing as not purchased. I thought that was kind of strange, I mean I returned them for a reason and I didn't want someone else to buy them only for me to return them again. Plus I didn't want the gift giver to look at my registry and see them on there again! So I called the store I registered at and she said she would take care of it, which I thought she would just make it look like the items were purchased. But she just deleted the items entirely... I could have done that at home. Anyway, I just wasn't a fan of the store I registered at, the customer service wasn't that great.

Macy's - Loved it! I got the best deal on my china. I only received 2 place settings as gifts so I was trying to figure out how to get a couple more without spending any money out of pocket (we did have some gift cards). Then I got an email that my china was on sale for buy 3 get 1 free. I was able to return the 2 I got, buy one more and get a free one. But not only did I get that promotion, but I also got 20% off! They had a completion event going on the next week and the associate went ahead and gave me the discount early! With the special and the discount I was able to get 8 place settings and didn't have to spend any out of pocket!

I'm currently registered at BBB & walmart. I love BBB so far, and I love walmart's stuff, but online & the print out really isn't that helpful. I'm not really sure what to do. I don't know if I want to switch over to Target, because I would love to have some lower priced items on the list, but I really don't mind Walmart-just the print outs.

We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond last week.  I was very impressed with their selection and customer service.

We will also probably register at Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel.

Bed Bath is great.  They are good about returns and exchanges.  Plus, the range of stuff is good.  You can register for a mouse trap and a crystal bowl.  Why you would want to register for a mouse trap, I don't know, but at least you could.

i love macy's! yeah, it can be a pain, bc some of the stuff is only online, and some is only in the store, but once you get that all figured out, it's great! if you have a macy's card, after your wedding, you get a gift card worth 5% of what people purchased off your registry.  so if people bought you $3,000 worth of stuff, you get $150 gift card! score. plus, everyone knows where a macy's is.

i also love crate and barrel, so easy, and such nice things!

fi and i will also add tiffany and co later on.

we already registered bc we had an engagement party, and we got a lot of shwag from our registries already :)
