I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but the first thing that popped into my head would be antique pins. I have a bunch from my grandma. They're about 3 inches long and have a faux pearl on the tip. If you got something like this, cut them short, and gently hammered or pushed them into the hanger, the straps of a dress could rest on them. Hope this helps! Good luck!
Yeah, I'd like something with a faux pearl on the top of it. That's pretty much what I would be looking for.

I'm going to be making coat hangers for the girls..kinda. I bought wooden coat hangers, and want to put tacks on them to hold the dresses easier. What is the best kind of tack I should use? Where should I get them?
