I like Think Thin bars. Though I’ll admit they’re an acquired taste as many of my friends have tried them at my recommendation and found them less than delicious. But for the nutrition (20g protein, og sugar, ~200 calories, gluten free), they can’t be beat, IMO.

A better tasting, but lower protein (~10g) bar that I like is the Luna Protein bar.

@Barbiestylez:  I don’t know if this is a protein bar, but I love Larabars.  The apple pie is my favorite.  I would stay away from the chocolate peanut butter flavor though.  They are really good and will literally keep you full for hours!

Cliff bars are always tasty.  Powerbar vanilla crisp is pretty delicious, too.

@WeddingTime18:  I agree on the Larabar recommendation (except I disagree about avoiding the chocolate peanut butter flavor! Yum). I LOVE the ingredient list, and it totally does keep you full for hours. My favorites are the Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors.

Also KIND bars are outstanding and they are gluten-free.  My absolute favorite is the dark chocolate sea salt.

@Barbiestylez:  I don’t think it would be categorized as a protien bar per say, but Lara bars are delicious and have no weird ingredients (seriously read the ingredients on a larabar.  The read something like this: dates, cashews).  In my area you can find them at costco, but you’ll get better variety of flavors if you buy individually.

These are great if you need something before hitting the gym, or as snacks to keep in your pocket when hiking/skiing/whatever.

I love Cliff Bars.

I’ve never tried Lara Bars but might have to now after reading all the positive comments here.

Luna bars only have 8g protein but are usually about 180 calories, have vitamins added, and have a few grams of fiber too. I think they are one of the tastiest bars out there and are cheaper than Larabars (love those too!) – you can often get them on sale for $1/box. Best flavors for me are chocolate caramel brownie, s’mores, peanut butter chocolate, chocolate peppermint (notice a trend? haha), the lemon one.

Quest Bars are the absolute best for high protein(20g)/low carb(2-6g) with lots of fibre (16 or so)!

Some are kinda gross, admittedly – but most are good and chocolate brownie in particular is sooooo good microwaved for a few secs.
