What are some of your favourite veggies (or chosen veggies for your wedding) to serve to a group?
We have a choice! So I want to of course make the best choice!
I want to use local veggies, and the caterer will use local markets as requested, so I am pumped for that option!
Roasted baby potatoes are in, but beyond potatoes….
I was thinking green beans for sure…..and ?

I love the taste of grilled veggies. So far I’ve tried tomatoes, corn, bell pepper, egg plant, red onions, zucchini, squash and asparagus. I haven’t tried green beans on the grill…but I might need a grill basket for that.

I love veggies! But, your best bet will be to visit your local markets and ask them what they’ll have in season around the time of your wedding. I don’t know what is ripe and ready in July in Ontario. My favorites are mushrooms (especially wild mushrooms – not technically veggies, but they fit the role well), tomatoes, onions, potatoes, eggplant, sauteed greens like kale or chard, and roasted broccoli. Summer squash is good too.
I just asked my husband, and his favorites are zucchini and butternut squash. He’s also an insatiable broccoli fan. Cauliflower too.
