I know most of the brides on here already have their venue picked out but I have to brag on my venue, which was gorgeous, historical, and AFFORDABLE!!! they dont really advertise online or on wedding websites but they are one of the best places to have your ceremony/reception. They are The Riverside Inn at Cambridge Springs south of Erie. Its a tiny, kind of hard to find victorian era town that was a huge resort spot in the 1800s, the Riverside Inn is a huge (and some say haunted) but stunning victorian era hotel with several lush rose gardens and ballrooms,banquet halls, and theater rooms to choose from. The prices are unbeatable, $300 for a reception hall but if you have OVER 150 guests its FREE, they charge $2 per chair for a ceremony in one of the gardens and do all the setup/break down. The food is incredible, there is a huge variety to choose from (I got to choose 4 main entrees out of 16 possible and there were 6 different soups to pick from, 3 different salads, 5 different kinds of potatoes, and 4 different veggie sides). The prices range from $18 for a fish dish to $23 for prime rib. They will provide you with alcohol from their own bar or order any alcohol you want. I had my entire wedding/reception there and the check I wrote them the next day was $4000, for 130 people. They can only cater from april to december then they close their kitchen for the winter, but if you are looking for a beautiful, historical place with a low price tag and lots of experience with weddings, this is it.
