We have laminate floors in the living room and dining room. They drive me nuts! No matter what I use to clean it, there are streaks. I just did some research and found this is pretty common (the streaks). What do all of you use to clean your laminate flooring? Thanks!

I’m assuming you’re talking about laminate wood floors.
I usually mix up soap and water and spray mop the floors.

I use a steam mop – no streaks!

Argh! I hate our laminate floors. 1. because they’re ugly and 2. because they NEVER look clean. It’s quite frustrating.

We have laminate, but it has an awesome colour/pattern that never looks dirty. We just go over it with our swiffer wet jet occassionally.

My sister has laminate floors and the Swiffer Wet Jet left streaks that she could not get rid of. What she said works for her (and leaves no streaks at all) is to use a regular mop with Pine Sol and then go over it with Mop And Glo.

Never had a problem with streaks on our laminate, I love the stuff, it’s totally indestructible!! We vacuum regularly and when it’s time to REALLY clean it we just use whatever floor cleaner we have in the house. Ours has a matte finish though, so maybe that’s the difference?

Thanks, everyone. I have tried a few different cleaning solutions, but always ended up with streaks. I just realized that it may be the mop I’m using. I don’t think I have the right mop. I didn’t realize you are supposed to use a different kind of mop on laminate floors. (Saw that in my google research)
I think it also depends on the quality, maybe? The previous owner had these put in, so I’m not sure what brand/quality they are. Hmmm. Thanks for the suggestions!
