Don't know if you SHOULD but I always use a greenworks fantastic type product to clean walls. It works great! I know if the walls are really grimey then you can buy a scrub from the local hardware store to clean the walls.
I use lysol lemon kitchen cleaner on the walls in my kitchen (it has a degreaser in it). I spray it on & then wipe it off with a sponge. It has the added advantage of disinfecting :D. The paint is a high gloss so I could do anything short of breaking out the steel wool in there. Sometimes I use comet but that might be a bad idea given that your walls are more delicate.

I am moving into my new home/apartment on Friday (hooray!!) and the biggest job pre-move is going to be cleaning the walls. The paint is still fine, it looks pretty new and isn't chipped or faded. But the walls are somewhat grimy and need a good cleaning.
I need tips for cleaning painted walls and moldings as well as cleaning wallpaper! I obviously don't want to damage the paper since I love it and want to keep it, but there are spots in high traffic areas that are grimy or stained.
I was there yesterday and tried using vinegar, but it's only effective at cleaning light surface stains, not the grimy things like dirty handprints, etc. (not that there are handprints all over my walls, but you know what I mean).
What are your tips for cleaning walls? Any particular products you would recommend?
