(Closed) Best way to lose upper body weight?

If you have fat to lose, you need to just lose weight period.

But, beyond that to tone up your back and arms, I’d recommend signing up for the climbing gym, if there’s one near you and hitting the walls 3-4 times a week until your shoulders and forearms ache!

If you have bra fat, that means your bra isn’t fitting you properly. You can get some spanx for your upper body that will smooth you out. But you cannot spot reduce weight. It’s all or nothing when it comes to your body. Sorry!

Unfortunately you can’t pick and choose where you lose weight, or turn fat into muscle by working a certain area.

If you are happy with the way the rest of your body looks, I would recommend changing your clothing. As MissKatelyn suggested, you can find a bra that fits better. As far as the dress, if it has a lace up back, you can leave it looser at the top so that no back fat is poking out.

I’m not sure how much you weigh, but just losing weight in general can help with your back fat issue, you’ll be slimmer all over.

My workout guru brother gave me 2lb weights (2 of them) and told me to do these various exercises. Like windmills or squats but then pushing up and out with your arms! I’ll try to get him to write it out and post it later! =) But I say invest in some small hand weights and check out some exercises online! Jillian Michaels is awesome, videos are cheap! (30 Day Shred is awesome!)

POWER WALK, swing those arms, you may look silly now but you’ll be smokin’ later!

Everyone loses & gains differently. For ME, running/cardio slims my upper body and does nearly nothing to my lower body. My arms and face can get to the point where I do not want to lose an ounce from them, but my lower body is pretty much the same. Frustrating..{but actually was kind of okay for my wedding dress}.

A clean diet with less sodium can also help.

Yoga did wonders for my upper body!  Especially classes that incorporated weights.

Plus it helped keep me centered during the craziness.

@Wannabe-diy-bride:  I think you just have to lose weight overall if you want it gone in one place :/ And adding some pushups would be good!  Good luck.
