We did Excel / Google Docs so it was always easily accessible.

I personally LOVE Excel for anything having to do with lists.  You can make it whatever you want it to be!!  So yes, I used Excel.

I’ve used Excel for my to do list and guest list.  I love it for the guest list because you can sort it by name.  I also added a yes, no, maybe columns to keep up with RSVPs.  I also added a column for who’s guest were they.  Ex. Bride’s parents or Groom’s parents.  That way if I had a question on spelling etc I knew who to ask.  Our list is quite large.

I also used excel and it worked out great. I’ve attached a cleared out version of what I used in case that helps. I also added tabs for my friends, his friends, etc. and then just linked them to the “totals” tab.

I hate excel too but I used it anyways! Mine’s the most basic of lists, with one column the name, one their address, one column for whether I sent an STD and another for invite…that’s all, mostly easy! (even tho excel is a pain in the a$$ sometimes!)

If you have an Iphone or Ipad I found this super helpful guest list app called myGuestList (I think its $1.99). Its super easy to use and it exports to excel (yipee!!) While it does not do seating charts, it does let you enter info about each of your guests. It has been a life saver for me! I think this is the site that I found more info about it on http://www.zeode.com/myguestlist/.

I used Excel and did a mail merge into Word to print the envelopes for my save the dates. Then I will mail merge into the label template for my invites.

if you go to google weddings, there is a whole list of ways to organize for a wedding. I love it!

I used Excel, and then imported the addresses into Word and did a mail merge so that I could print labels.
