lol M hated them all. he hates photojournalistic pictures. um i love them. he hated every picture in the best of 2009. he said they looked like a magazine. i said exactly.

let’s say i’lll get what i want on this one and he’ll deal with it :D… but seriously he wants another guy that takes pix from his club to take a few and he can let him 😀

“Best” is relative and obviously no two people will agree as everyone has different tastes. While there were a few that I liked, I didn’t care for the majority, largely due to the post-processing effects used. To each their own.

@crebre, that’s interesting that you say that the photojournalistic style is “2009” when it’s been around the last 10 yrs at least, but hasn’t had quite the exposure as it does now. But many people agree that it’s more aesthetically pleasing than the posed photos of decades past that really looked awkward for everyone involved, otherwise it wouldn’t be anywhere near as popular as it is and folks would be begging for the traditional posed pics instead. But there’s no reason that you can’t have a mix of styles if you don’t agree on which you like better. Marriage is all about compromise, right?

@ember: i don’t think i said it was 2009???? the photos were labeled the best of 2009. i agree with the length of time of the photojournalistic pictures. i remember interviewing a photojournalistic photog back in 2001 or so when i was engaged to my son’s father. marriage is about compromise and being true to yourself at the same time. i won’t budge on the pictures. it’s what I really want, not him but me. he doesn’t like pictures to look like they are out of a magazine and prefers pictures where everyone is staring at the camera, i find those incredibly boring, well except for the posed vogue type shots which he doesn’t like either (roll eyes). but i’ve compromised on other things.  for example i have wanted a bird cage veil before they were trendy, think 2003, he hates them and prefers a drop veil, i’ll be wearing one of those. it’s not that big of a deal for me. i don’t really understand the point of a proposal etc and am humouring him because it’s important to him. i could care less.

I caught Mrs. Meatball in there too! I really loved the one of the couple laying in the sand next to the driftwood. And the Lyons photo. I wonder how they choose these?

Some are very cool-I love the one with each member of the bridal party in a mirror. And I do believe photo 32 is our own Mrs. Meatball!
