The Knot has a very simple interface, and it’s where a lot of people will assume your site is, so it’s easier to find. I went ahead and made one on WordPress, though, to get a custom URL for $15. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not used to dealing with it, though.

I ended up making one through weddingchannel.com. When I made our STDs, I needed a shorter url and weddingchannel lets you edit it. I had originally started off with theknot but the website was too long.

I have been impressed with mywedding.com. It’s free, has a decent selection of skins, and is super easy. They even have CS. I had a few formating problems and they fixed it right away – not too shabby for a free service. There’s also an rsvp section – some of our guests used it and it worked good. We didnt advertise it though, so we didnt have a big volume utilizing it.

I used wedsite.com and have gotten soooo many compliments. It costs $65 for two years but it was totally worth it and easy to use. You can upload as many pics as you want, add music, it has an RSVP feature (I’m not using it though) and lots of other perks. When you wedding is over you can order a CD that captures what it looked like on the last day it was active so you have all of your guestbook entries etc. I love it!

I used weddingwire, as have all my friends who are planning their weddings right now (completely independently, I might add). It’s free, has a bunch of templates, has neat things you can add (weather, yelp reviews, song requests, etc.) and is otherwise awesome. We also bought our own domain name through a third party for $10/2 years.

I used Wedshare.com for ours and have been really pleased with it. It’s super easy to edit and I’ve never had a problem with it loading or anything. They have a free version but I opted to pay for ours as I wanted a custom(and short) URL. Here’s mine if you want to take a look at the layout and whatnot. http://www.danandvivi.com

I did a lot of research into this before I decided which one I liked.  I LOVE http://www.weddingwindow.com  I have had so much freedom in makeing the website and have had a great time doing so.  It’s still in the working phase otherwise I would share it with you all…

Maybe I’ll share it.

Keep in mind I’m still working on it.  Esp. the pictures and such.

I used mywedding.com. For someone not super tech savvy and with a husband (then fiance) whose a software developer who wanted nothing to do with the wedding website, it worked for us. He even liked how it turned out.
