Fiance and I are going to a holiday party at the Melting Pot with his work people. About 5 or 6 people and their guests/spouses. He works in a small law firm. The limit is $25.
I’m not sure why people do this, because nobody generally wants the stuff because it’s so generic… sooo… it seems to be a waste of money. haha But anyway, what do you guys suggest?? What are the best gifts for professional office gift swaps? What have you gotten or seen that has gone over really well?
Suggestions for ANY type (not necessarily office setting) gifts would be good too!
Mom and I are going to more family-related Hen Party, where they do the same things. Last year, I swear 75% of the gifts (around 22 women) were liquor gift sets! It was funny. Not an alcoholic family or anything, but I guess they figured it would be good. They were the most stolen gifts. But I don’t think it’d be appropriate for a work party?
This year for the Hen Party, I told mom we should get something somewhat obnoxious or ridiculous, because they always do either something very generic and boring and nobody cares, or like last year, liquor. They’re mostly older women who are a bit kooky. I was like “It’s annonymous. Why not??” Mom said she dared me. First I was going to get this:
They’re slippers. But there were sizes, and the calf parts were pretty tight, so we decided against that. SO then we got this:
^-^ I figured it’d be silly and that probably someone would really like it, but not everyone would be “meh” about it. There’s usually like 2 pre-teen/teenage girls there anyway…
