Weddingbee boards

I had literally just decided to maybe stop thinking (obsessing?) about engagement for a while when my SO's phone rang and it was our friend calling to tell us he had just become engaged to his girlfriend! While I'm absolutely thrilled for them both, it threw me right back on the path of thinking about engagement, and "when is it my turn?" That has got to be the best... or the worst... timing ever! haha

@love108:  Haha well he DID grin at me, then say to his friend, "So... can I ask how you did it?" which made my heart flutter a little!

Of course, now I'm thinking about how I've been with my SO for twice as long as they've been together (and then some!). They are older than us, but still... sort of wish it was us! But super excited for them (yay for weddings!)

Ohh, don't you hate how things always come up to remind you like that. Especially when you're trying not to think about it! I had this happen today too, and as much as i'm happy for my friends I want my turn already! It sucks, hang in there, and hopefully your SO will want to join the club =).

omg that happened to me at Christmas. me and my guy have been together twice as long - and we didnt even think this couple were THAT serious!!

i was happy for her, obviously, but i did look at my guy and say "please let my ring be better than hers :(" to which he told me he'll make her equally as jealous when my time comes.

love that guy.

Really good friends of ours got engaged about 3 weeks ago. I was ecstatic for them!! She had been through the ringer in 2011 and deserved a fabulous start to 2012. I was doing a great job not even thinking of engagement, and it brought up all my own thoughts all over again. SO turned to me and said "Don't worry, were next" with a big smile. I couldn't help but get all excited all over again with just those few words!!! Uggghhh!
