I have gotten 3 really cute beverage dispensers that are 2 gallons each for our 1 hour happy hour for our 200 guests. If I figure about 6 oz. a serving thats about 42 servings per container. Target currently has their 2.5 liter dispensers on sale for $10 so I am wondering if I should buy more? My questions to you who have used them:
How often did you refill for how many quests?
What did you fill them with?
How did you keep them cold?
Did the spickets clog?

I bought 2 dispensers from Walmart on clearance and they worked great. I tested them both before the wedding to make sure they didn’t leak. We filled them with punch. However, we also had canned soda and water and the self-serve drinking station. The colors were supposed to be blue and pink to match our theme, but someone dropped the ball on that one (me, lol)
If you are concerned about clogging, don’t put any fruit slices, sherber ice cream or anything that could clog it in there. Tea and lemonade are always a good alternative and look nice.

Try freezing grapes to keep it cold. They wont break down and they won’t water it down when they defrost like ice cubes will.
Will you have anyone to refill them if you need to or will they only be filled once?
Are you serving any other beverages? What will be in these containers? All one variety of drink? Alcoholic or non-alcoholic. All these factors will effect how much people will drink.

I had 3 of them, that were 2.5 liters each for 75 guests (we used them for the non-alcoholic drinks) and to incorporate green (one of my colors) we had Cucumber Water, Mint Tea, and Limemaid with fresh limes. They lasted all night!
Mine didn’t get clogged, but they can if you use smaller berries.
I don’t have a pic of them, but you can see them in the background here:

i was originally thinking about doing tea and then two alcoholic punches. WEdo have people to refill but i dont want them to be refilling all night! logaically it seems like a few more and we would be ok, but they look so small compared to a two hundred guests! The red looks good Mrs. Carpenter! And frozen grapes- very cute idea! And totally stealing the cucmber water! Maybe i will do the set i currently have with three non alocholic punches then get two/three alcoholic ones. the non I can always carry over to the reception… hmmmm Thanks ladies!

If they will contain alcohol I would definately get more. People drink more when there is alcohol vs a juice.

I am doing beverage dispensers, and I found some that have an ice holder on the base.

I have made ice cubes from the punch before so when the defrosted they didn’t water it down.
