@Omgbunnies: I’ve never had the urge to try coconut water, but I do shamefully admit to liking Kool-Aid Bursts…

@Omgbunnies:  Haha! It’s true, coconut water is the worst. It’s so sad, because it sounds so, so yummy in theory!

hmm, I really love coconut water. Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly drink coconut milk?

Also, some brands are chock full of unnecessary added sugar… no need for that!

@Omgbunnies:  I tried coconut water a few weeks ago. You’re right it tastes disgusting. I think it set off all of my unripe food warning bells. I kept drinking it because I was thirsty, and it got slightly better with repetition, but I’m never drinking it again.

i’ve tried coconut water and coconut milk and hated both. the milk was far worse than the water. it tasted like the smell of dirty gym socks.

Well, it may be an aquired taste, but it is a popular drink in many cultures. This feels a bit insulting.

Hahahaha. I hate it, too. I didn’t think it tasted like Splenda, but I hate that as well!

I work at Starbucks, and we have people wanting ridiculously large amounts of Splenda in their drinks, and it creates a ‘cloud’ when you open the 14 packets that will literally choke you…ugh…I don’t even want to think about it…

ETA: Ah, you mean the Kool-Aid tastes like Splends? Hahaha…you can’t win!

@omgbunnies So funny! It’s crazy how different people have different tastes-I love coconut water but literally cannot stomach Dasani bottled water-it literally makes me gag!

One time I was shopping at Target and became really thirsty. I grabbed a coconut water off the shelf on impulse, and immediately opened it on the way out of the store to my car. It took a lot of self control to avoid immediately spitting it out. I felt horribly wronged, especially since I was sooooo damn thirsty!! That’s my awful experience with coconut water. Never again.

ETA: Glad to see your title edit, OP. I’m shocked this is being interpreted so offensively by some posters… An individual’s personal taste in food or drink is just that – a personal taste.

If you are used to sweet drinks like Gatorade, coconut water may not taste as “good.” However, they have way less sugar yet give you the electrolyte boost. Lol, you scared me with your post – I thought there was something dangerous with coconut water. Haha.
