I saw the thread on here asking about whether or not anyone has purchased from Corals Bridal. I haven’t (thank god) but I fell in love with a beautiful photo of one of their dresses for only $560. http://www.coralsbridal.com/2954-ms169-custom-made-sexy-backless-wedding-gown-CN.html As amazing as the dress was I could find no picture of the front of the dress. After emailing and getting a strange respopnse that I couldn’t understand, either due to poor english, or because they didn’t want me to understand, I began poking around their website further until I finally found a seperate listing for what appeared to be the front of the dress. The style codes and prices matched, and it looked vaugley like it could be the same dress, only it was totally cheap and hideous! you can judge for yourself http://www.coralsbridal.com/3077-ms169f-sexy-halter-tulle-wedding-dress-bridal-dress-MS169f.html
Upon further investigation I discovered that the photo I fell in love with is in fact stolen from a designer called “Cymbeline Bridal” http://en.flip-zone.com/fashion/bridal/ready-to-wear-68/cymbeline-2363
the dress itself is $4,000 and called “egerie” and if you look at their runway slide show you can see there is a runway photo showing both the front and back of the dress. (The front looks COMPLETELY different then the photo on Corals website). I registered on the Coral website so I could leave a review, since it appeares that customers are reviewing (all raves of course) and it turns out there is no way to write a review (shocker) which makes me wonder how where all these amazing reviews came from. I’m guessing copied and pasted from abother bridal website since that seems to be their M.O.
Hopefully this will save someone the mistake of purchasing from them, or at least the trouble and disapointment that I went through in order to find out my dream dress was out of reach.

im guessing you have to be a buyer to write a review but i also think anyone that thinks a online overseas discount custom made bridal shop is offering unique original designs at bottom prices they are a bit silly to begin with.

I realize that Coral’s does knock offs of couture gowns and that this isn’t a surprise to most, but I still don’t think it’s ethical to post photos of the orignial designs trying to pass them off as what they are going to be shipping the customer when that couldn’t be further from the case.
Also, I think I would have given it a pass if the picture of the front wasn’t so drastically different in quality and design then the pic of the back, just seemed sneaky to me. Regardless of whether or not a vendor is selling a knock off they should show the cusomer what they are really selling. Maybe it’s silly of me to expect that, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way :/

Yeah if you have been looking at dresses long enough, you can see they pull photos off every reputable bridal shop. I was like gee didn’t I see this exact lady in this exact dress at the Maggie sottero site? they have to alter the dress they make slightly as to not completely copy it. Usually uses cheap materials as well.
Some places are good/ok. You just have to ask around and find credible reviews.
Sorry you were disappointed!

meanwhile – wowsers – most normally proportioned human women would be showing some serious butt crack in that dress 😛

@Eva Peron: yeah, I’m starting to realize that. as a newbee I didn’t even know who the original designer was that corals was making a replica of so I had nothing to compare… I think having a little more knowledge of the bridal designs on the market helps.

I think everyone needs to realize that the second they buy a ‘designer’ dress from a site that is not (1) the actual designer’s website or (2) a reputable seller of the designer, then… yeah… it’s probably going to be a lesser knock off. I don’t think anyone should expect a couture gown to be reproduced for a price that is too good to be true.
But yeah I agree that it’s crap that they rip pictures right off the actual designers’ websites.

I ordered the Monique L. Scarlet replica gown from Coral’s Bridal just this month. The only picture of the gown on the site was from the actual designer site. I knew that the moment I saw it. I did a lot of research and read so many reviews (not on their site). I decided to give it a chance. To say I was scared was an understatement. I received the gown last night. I was shaking when I pulled the gown out of the packaging. It was beyond my expectations. The workmanship and quality floored me. The day my dress shipped, they actually posted the picture of the gown. The picture did not do the dress justice. It looked white with a white, shiny underslip. In reality, it is alencon ivory lace with an ivory slip. For $500.00, it is amazing. The staff that I dealt with were wonderful and we didn’t have an issue with language. And if it wasn’t for them questioning the measurement on length, the gown would have be to short.
I will attach a couple of pics from last night. The photos still do not show the actual beauty of the gown. Again the dress looks white and shiny.

Actually, that dress looks nothing like the dress you were wanting, and they not only make their own custom dresses, but they also make replicas. I know of at least 6 dresses on that website they made by hand, themselves. There is a way to comment on the site, but the only way you can do it is by commenting on the dress, and then after you comment on the dress, they review it and if it’s positive, they post it on the comment section.
Just because you’re not satisfied with your “Cheap and hideous” dress, doesn’t mean no one else will order it and love it.
http://www.coralsbridal.com/1226-spw09006-halter-lace-princess-wedding-gown-SPW09006.html This is the dress I orederd, and so far they have been very good with keeping up with my emails, and letting me know how they’re doing and everything.
I still have about 2 weeks before I get my dress.
I will post photos with it on after I get it. =)

Very pretty. I can not wait to see my dress once it comes in.
Now your dress has some real quality for the price added to it. It is just amazing.

I actually ordered from Coral’s bridal and was quite happy. You can’t expect it to be exactly the same- they even tell you that if you email them for a quote. They said that the lace on my dress would be different and it would only be 85-90% the same. I was fine with that. Here’s some pictures:

The original photo I sent them:
and the actual dress I was sent (I apologize for the poor lighting, my brother took the picture and we haven’t recieved the professional ones yet).
