This was THE worst experience I have ever had with a florist. STAY AWAY!!!! I was running late for my appt with them as I was coming from my bridesmaids dress fitting at Davids Bridal in West Palm. My wedding planners were already at the office waiting for me before my appt time of 3:30. I am probably 5 minutes away when I get a call from my wedding planners that Rose Tish (im guessing the owner?) has cancelled my appt! I was so confused at this point but they basically told me that Rose told them that she booked 3 other appointments at 3:30 and that if I could not be there at exactly 3:30 she was cancelling my appt because she has other brides. I told them that I was only 5 minutes away so I was going to the appt anyways, cancelled or not. I dont exactly live close to this place and I didnt drive all that way and use all that gas for nothing. I even tried calling the office just to let them know I was running late but would be there in no time however no one answered the phone either. I arrive at their office with my sister and sister in law and we walk inside and no one is the front room. We hear people talking in the back and I am sure they heard us when we came in but no one came to even greet us and tell us that they would be with us in one second. Nothing. My sister in law even suggested calling the office from my cell phone to see if there phone actually rings (we thought maybe the phones just werent working)..nope…the phones work just fine…it was ringing nice and loud however no one bothered to answer. Finally after waiting for about 15 minutes a woman finally comes to the front and asks what we need. I told her I had an appt with Rose which she informs me that Rose isn’t there, she left. So she gets Rose on the phone who tells the lady that MY WEDDING PLANNERS cancelled my appt!!!! My planners have never cancelled an appt with any vendor before nor would they considering that they had a far drive to get to this place. When she said that I was so upset. Not only did I just speed down I-95 for 30 minutes to get to this appt but now she is telling me that my wedding planners cancelled my appt. I told her that my wedding planners did not cancel my appt, she did, and she should have called me to tell me since I was the one who had set up the appt not my planners. She refused to come back and meet with me. If she did make two other appts at 3:30 then there def. should have been more people in there however it was just me. Not to mention that triple booking clients is not giving enough personalized attention to them since you have to be rushing them out. I have to say my planners did warn me about this place when I told them I wanted to check it out. The worst part of this all is that my sister in law used them for her wedding which she was so shocked that they treated me this way. She even told the woman there that this was unprofessional and that she was sorry she ever recommended anyone to them. Please! Please! Do not waste your time with these people!! They are dishonest and rude!! I’m at least grateful that they treated me this way from the beginning that way I didnt hire them for my wedding and get stuck with this subpar service!! Take your money elsewhere!!

Hi. I’m so sorry to hear of he horrible experience you had. I have actually just hired Events by Dream Makers and they are no longer owned by the woman you dealt with. The new owners, Sylvia and Robert are extremely gracious and very helpful. Unfortunately, your review tells a different story that people might not understand is based on dealing with a completely different owner. You can verify this on their website or by googling the previous owner’s name. Would you be willing to remove your review in light of the fact that the company is no longer owned by that woman? Their business is being impacted by something that happened under someone else’s supervision. I know they would be extremely grateful.

@Chels0320: You aren’t serious right? You sound like the store owner; not a potential client. This company left a bad taste in her mouth and treated her poorly and probably wasn’t aware that they are under different ownership now.

@aquallo: I am so sorry to hear about your experience! But the NEW owners are PHENOMINAL! Rose is completely done with Events by Dream Makers. I just signed my contract for Events by Dream Makers to be apart of my special day. My wedding is November 9, 2013 and I cannot wait to see how beautiful the room and my flowers are going to be. Sylvia and Robert are the sweetest people you will ever meet! Not only do they want to make your day as special as possible they genuinely care. I have met with numerous venders and none have been as amazing as them. I knew from the moment the meeting was over that they were the perfect fit for my day! they were the only venders I had that special connection with! Not only did Sylvia actually listen to my vision but her ideas were more than anything I could have imagined. I cannot wait to see Sylvia’s visions become reality and see my dream wedding come to life. Future brides: do yourselves a favor and meet with Sylvia and Robert they will make your dream wedding a reality!

@Janaic88: I can promise you that I am not the store owner nor do I work for the company in any capacity. In my last meeting with Robert and Sylvia, they mentioned that this review has recently caused them issues with clients and potential clients. I offered to try to get it taken down since they are not the ones responsible for her negative experience. I am fully aware that she most likely doesn’t know that it is under new ownership, that is why I posted the message. Just FYI – I contacted them originally because I had heard wonderful things about the previous owner and wanted to work with her. When I found out she was no longer associated with the business (Her business was actually called “Dream Makers” NOT “Events by Dream Makers”) I was unsure about working with the company. Sylvia earned my business and I believe she will do an amazing job. I just feel bad that they are being harmed by situation they were not involved in.

[email protected] post counts of the two company defenders. ;P yeah it’s not suspicious at ALL when Sreich2’s only two posts are 1) here to leave a glorious review, and 2) making a thread titled “Events by Dream Makers are the best!“. same with Chels0320’s only three posts hahaha…
I’m more likely to believe aquallo’s honest review only though she has one post, because she has nothing to gain from this. and all the little details are quite believable. if the store owner just came up and owned up to her posts instead of masquerading as two people/asking friends to do the masquerading for her, it’d be much more respectable. this sort of… deceit only makes me mistrust the company further.

The funniest part is that the bad review is ELEVEN MONTHS OLD. lol..

Considering the original poster hasn’t been on here in 11 months I highly doubt she will see this. Besides, she can’t delete her post anyways.

@patchy: I offered to help when I heard the post was negatively affecting them despite is being written about a different owner/company. I have no other posts on here because I joined this website for that sole reason. I dont know what else I would possibly comment on. I assumed the webiste would email her when there was a response but it appears that it doesnt so it’s a moot point. I guess I just assumed people would try to help out their vendors the same way I expect my vendors to help me.
