Did any of you read about beyonces fake bump. I read & saw pictures of her in a magazine and they claim she is boosting her bump with padding to make it look bigger and more dramatic. The pics of her in the magazine look a lil suspicious especially when she bent over it looked squished and rolled over like a cushion. What do you think? Do you believe it and if you do believe it, isnt it the most bizarre thing to do? A different magazine I read claims she wants to look bigger than she really is so that when she loses weight post baby it will seem even more dramatic.

I don't know what to believe. It blows my mind that someone would actually consider doing this, but then again, celebrities do crazy things. Who knows.
I've seen this. I guess if she did use a fake baby bump, it was to make her look 'more pregnant' to guarantee more publicity for the pregnancy.
If it is about the weight loss, then that's really sad.
Hasn't she also been accused of padding her butt, too? I take it all with a grain of salt, I guess. I'd hope a celeb wouldn't seek publicity that way, but money is powerful draw.
It is very odd. I mean, she's clearly pregnant (bikini photos) but yeah, she looks far less 'bumpalicious' when she's in a swimsuit.
If she is padding, that's quite odd. But, like PPs said, celebs do goofy things, and I'm sure that she/all pregnant celebs are under all sorts of scrutiny.
I had heard it was because they are really using a serogate. I honestly bet a swimsuit shoot is the next to come to prove it is real. I don't know, it is so out there...
I have no idea what's up with the possibility of the fake bump, but I can't see why she'd lie about being pregnant.
It's a shame. She's such a popular celeb that this is (if true) unnecessary.
When I saw the picture I thought it was just the dress bunching up. People also talk about the way she sits. I am about as far along as she is (I think, they claim she is due in Feb), and I am able to still sit sloched over too. Most people claim that they can barely tell that I am pregnant. I think she really is pregnant. You can tell because of her face.
I wonder if the media is mad because she revealed she was pregnant before they did. lol
I would say that she is padding to make herself look bigger. A couple of weeks before she announced her pregnancy you couldn't see anything, and then bam a fairly big bump? I think it's to drum up pregnancy publicity personally, and I think it is totally weird.
I mean I know she's actually pregnant, but the bump looks much smaller in her bikini photo.
How odd. It really does look fake in that interview though... Wonder why she would feel the need to "enhance" her bump?

This was kind of mentioned on a thread last week but it's ridiculous to me! In some of the pictures it really looks like it's fake. Also, when she announced her pregnancy at the Emmy's I was kind of shocked that her bump looked so rounded and perfect already. Hilary Duff is due around the same time I think and her bump looks way more like people that I know IRL at that stage of pregnancy and it's not even close to as rounded as Beyonce's.
@Gemstone: well according to the story she is pregnant but is making her belly look bigger than it really is at this point. Maybe she isnt showing as much as she would like to be... ?

I just watched the video and that is weird-looking. My first thought upon seeing things like this is always that there's some logical explanation... but having been pregnant three times, I will say that bump gets in the way more than it gets out of the way! Odd video.
I saw it, and thought I've never seen a pregnant woman whose bump was already that big but whose arms were still that thin. Weird thing to do, but whatever.

Maybe, just because she is so fit (I mean, she still has visible abs in that preg bikini pic) she feels like she has to bump-it-up so that she looks as if her pregnancy is progessing in a healthy manner for all of the people watching?
I've read bees say that they feel bad when people say they hardly look like they're as far along as they actually are, but this hardly seems like the best way to duck under the radar since it's cause so much publicity now.
I've never thought that she isn't pregnant, just that she was emphasising the bump.
@trugem: I thought the exact same thing - just looked like her dress bunched up when she sat down to me. Then again, I've never been pregnant so I have no clue how big she is or isn't supposed to be at this point in her pregnancy. Padding would make no sense to me since the bikini pics make it pretty clear that she's obviously pregnant. Weird.
I think she is definitely pregnant because her boobs are big but the bump may be padded. I'm totally confused by her publicity about it though. They have always been SUPER private. No one even knows when they started dating and they never really acknowledged formally that they were even married. Yet, she announces at the VMAs she's pregnant on the red carpet and does interviews about it. Very odd.
I'm glad I'm not famous. All this lady is trying to do is have a baby. If she's going through a surrogate or if she's having it herself, or whatever the reasons are, I feel bad that people just aren't letting her do it.
@bells: I guess we shouldn't be too surprised. Celebrities blow everything out of proportion for the publicity, anyway. Pregnancy is just a weird thing to add to the list.

My best friend is six months now, and she can "squish" when she sits. Sometimes I look at her bump and think it looks padded. I haven't asked to touch it yet but I'm pretty sure that my best friend is, in fact, pregnant.

@mwitter80: I kinda agree with this and can see where you're coming from, but at the same time she signed up for this life and continues to maintain it. She's a pop star, not a grocery clerk or front desk person or doctor or lawyer. She makes her living from the dollars we throw at her. She deserves some privacy of course but she is NOT 'one of us', and made that choice for herself. You know?
I think it'd be great if she was using a surrogate, and I think it's great if she's actually pregnant. But to enhance it either way is totally bizarre to me.

I could understand her wanting to pad her bump to make her look farther along than she realy is so no one knows exactly when the baby is actually due.
Oooh! History factoid!! If Beyonce is padding, she is only carrying on a tradition that was first started by rich ladies in the late 18th century. Georgiana the Duchess of Devonshire, who like many nobles then married young and was under great pressure to get pregnant and produce heirs, started a brief fad of wearing a fake bump. She was a celebrity/fashion icon in Britain at the time. Kinda like B....
really bizarre... even if it would be about weight loss I am sure she is going to get a lot larger and the padding isnt necessary .. probably just another crazy tabloid story
@KristenGotMarried: Yeah I agree. She is deliberately making her pregnancy a public thing. She announced it publicly and has been very public about it ever since. So she isnt really giving off a vibe that says "I'd like this to be a private thing"
Oh for goodness sakes, just because her dress bunched when she sat down? Her dress is probably expensive and has structuring inside which gives it some shape, so when she sat down, it squished, not her belly.
How would you guys feel if someone was debating your pregnancy and not trusting that you were as pregnant as you said you were?
I couldn't care less if she did pad her belly. If she craves the preggy belly look and has a naturally smaller one, why the heck not pad it?
It's not like we're all running around with the proportions God gave us.
I wear a padded push-up bra to make my boobs look bigger and perkier.
I wear spanx to make my butt look firmer and tummy flatter.
I bet Beyonce does both of those things too.

If I were her I would have announced it too. It's only a matter of time before some creepy ass paparazzi digs through her trash and finds cocoa butter packaging. Can you imagine having that thunder stolen times 1000000? "Sorry Mom, I was going to tell you, but the tabloids leaked it first." She probably waited until she knew it was a viable pregnancy then announced it ASAP to keep it from coming from the press instead of her.
I feel really bad for celebs who feel the need to keep their pgs quiet until they are in their 2nd trimester so that if they mc they don't have to deal with the paparazzi.
I agree that her dress probably had structure that bunched. Or she's wearing one of those belly supports that is suposed to help keep you from getting stretchmarks. I feel bad for her. There is no win in this situation because even if she tries to defend herself, the tabloids will just make anything up anyway.

The dress probably wasn't skin tight and just bunched when she sat down. Why would she pad herself with a bump that folded like that, pillows or whatever high tech material celebreties would use for a fake bump wouldn't fold like that either. Just her dress.
I think she's just excited to be pregnant and not showing as much as she'd like to be. That bikini pic her belly is smaller than when she first debuted her bump.
